North Beach Camp Resort, St Augustine, Florida
Date of Stay:
March, 2018 -
$73.00
Overall Rating:
Awesome stay. We didn't want to leave. Had a great site in the front section--just big enough for our 23-foot trailer. However, they have plenty of larger spaces, as well. We parked our car right across the front of the site for even more privacy. Even though the sites are close to each other, you won't notice--there's much foliage in between them, so it feels very private. Pool is great--deck seems to be recently refinished (up against pictures). Access to the beach right across the road from the park entrance. Recycling available up front along with trash. Small laundry in the basement was perfectly timed (30 minutes wash, 1 hour dry). Only reason this doesn't get a 10 is because there is absolutely no wifi at the sites even with a wifi booster on our new camper. You can get it if you want to sit in the office lounge area. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.
The Publix is two miles away on A1A and a great place to stock up on groceries.

Harvest Moon RV Park, Adairsville, Georgia
Date of Stay:
March, 2018 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
We needed a place to stop for the night on our way back north from Spring Break. Easy on and off from I75, so that was nice. Pulled in after the office was closed, and they had our site clearly marked on a map for us in the after-hours registration box. Appreciated that I could write a check. Our site was just the right size for our 23-foot trailer + Highlander. And a good spot for a single night. Lots of trailers in the area, closely parked together, long termers there. Couldn't get the cable to work. There wasn't any wifi. Office staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone. Make sure you include your tow vehicle in the length you give for the reservation--we couldn't have been a foot longer and fit in the site. We camped at Harvest Moon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia
Date of Stay:
March, 2018 -
$44.00
Overall Rating:
We were stopping over on our way to Florida. Great for a one-night stay. Right off the highway (like 150 yards), but highway noise wasn't a problem. Pulled in after dark and found our receipt on the door with a map of the park telling us where to find our site. Took a bit to get the camper leveled, but that's never easy in the dark. Cable didn't work for us, but we were in a new camper, so it might have been us and not the cable. Got a good night's sleep; when we got up in the morning, we realized how close the sites are to one another. Again, good for a one-night stay. The place is HUGE, though--there are probably sites there that aren't on top of each other, too. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Office opens late on Sunday, so if you are spending the night on a Saturday night, don't plan on getting any supplies in the store before heading out.

Louisville South KOA, Shepherdsville, Kentucky
Date of Stay:

$45.00
Overall Rating:
Bathrooms were warm and clean. Great on a cold, rainy night to get a hot shower. When we pulled in, it was already dark. Found our site clearly marked on a map, but then the KOA host showed up in a pickup truck and drove us to our spot anyway. Helpful! We were only there for a night, but when we got up in the morning we thought it could be a spot we'd stay in longer. Our daughter wanted to play on all the kid stuff (jumping pillow!). Couldn't figure out the cable, but we were using our camper for the first time, so I'm thinking that was us, not the cable. Only negative for us was that the site was a bit muddy, but it had been raining. Again, probably not on them. Only other drawback for us was that we didn't think it was fair to charge extra for a third person (our daughter). Felt like a bit much. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Travel Trailer.
