Grand Canyon / Williams KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Was assigned a back-in site, #11. However, when being escorted to our site the attendant took us thru site #10, which in turn made it a lot easier to get into our site. No backing in. Just pulled thru. However, this wouldn't have happened had someone been in site #10. We stayed here 2 nites. It's in a great location to access the Grand Canyon, National Park. I would stay here again. I just wish it was a little warmer. We camped at Grand Canyon / Williams KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Shell gas station right next to the campground. I would suggest driving toward the Grand Canyon about 4 miles to save about 15 cents per gallon over the Shell station nearby.

Village Creek State Park, Lumberton, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The park is still not fully operational since Hurricane Harvey. I stayed in site #15 which is a great site! It is level and there are trees all around. Even though there are a lot of trees, satellite reception is still great as long as the satellite is on the road end of the campsite. The only thing open in the park is the RV campground and the restrooms and showers. I've always liked this park. We camped at Village Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sandy Creek COE, Jasper, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet, tucked away right around Lake Steinhagen. I have stayed here many times and always get the same pull-thru site. A lot of the sites are very long and will accommodate a very long rig. However, they do have some rather short sites as well. The only drawback here is that there are no sewer hookups! Bummer. . .but they do have a dump station as you are leaving the campground. The only reason I did not give a "10" all the way around was because of the lack of sewer connections. Otherwise, this is a great place for peace and quiet. We camped at Sandy Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Hollywood KOA, Hollywood, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

This park is VERY tight! Some of the sites were recently redone, and now are so close together when your neighbor puts out his/her slide, it encroaches on your patio. You pay for the use of a patio and grill and can't use it because of the RV next to you. The wifi is basically non-existent, even though they claim to have wifi. This park has no amenities and sits along a busy highway right in town. It is way overpriced. If there were amenities, I could understand the high cost, being in the city. There is a pet fee, with no dog park or any amenities for your pet. I would not recommend this park to anyone!!! We camped at Hollywood KOA in a Travel Trailer.
