Omega Farms RV Park, Willis, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I picked this park only out of neccessity. Other parks in the area were either excessively overpriced or didn't appear to offer much in terms of site quality of ammenities. Well, neither did this place. We did get full hookups in a pull thru site. That's about all the positive things I can say. The roads were muddy with lots of potholes. The bathrooms were disgusting. They appeared as though they had not had a facelift in 20 years. The only trash dumpster was in the very far end of the park and was surrounded by a collection of old wood and other junk. I will never be back here again. We camped at Omega Farms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Blaze-in-Saddle RV Park (formerly Empty Saddle RV Park), Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This stop was a one-nighter as we drove from Albuquerque to Amarillo. I didn't want to spend a lot and this place came through. The Good Sam discount helped. The park was relatively full by nightfall, so it's evidently become a popular stop over for most RVers. The gentlemen who appear to run the place were very nice and welcoming. The bathrooms and showers are combined and are separated into individual rooms, which makes it even better. I got full hookups and the spaces were incredibly wide and long. Plenty of room for any RV on the road. The roads in the park are wide, as well, which makes getting in and out a piece of cake. I would definitely stop be here again, if I'm ever his way. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle RV Park (formerly Empty Saddle RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyon Gateway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We got a pull thru with full hook-ups. I forgot to mention my Good Sams, so I ended up paying more than I should have. Oh well!! The park is well maintained, but they do have a weird way of parking the RVs. Basically, everyone parks on the same site, its just a matter of whether you are in front (first to arrive) or in the rear (second to arrive). It worked out OK, as we always get to he park shortly after noon. We pulled forward in the site and a smaller RV (Class C) pulled in behind us. We had full hook ups so we were in good shape. They have a small store onsite, but there is also a couple of gas stations within a very easy walk from the park. Town is just a mile away and I would strongly encourage you to "Go to Town". Very cool place with lots of restaurants and breweries. Lots of old Rt. 66 stuff in town. Of course, you can catch a train also in Williams to get to the Grand Canyon. We've stayed here twice and both times we enjoyed our stay. We camped at Canyon Gateway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Moore's RV Park and Campground, Bloomfield, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for week, as we were burning days until the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. We paid for a week and basically got two nights free. It worked out to about $30/night. We got a pull thru with full hookups and a nice big shade tree. The park was very clean - the restrooms, laundry and the grounds. The best part was it was quiet. I was pleasantly surprised with this park. While scoping RV sites on Google, I saw that it was on a long road from town and seemed to be in the middle of the older part of town. It turned out to be a nice little jewel of a find. We camped at Moore's RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

If you're staying here, be sure to drive to Aztec, just 5-6 miles up the road. There's a National Monument there with old ruins that are pretty cool to walk thru.

Hassler's RV Park (formerly Casa Del Sol RV Park), Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park and is not somewhere you'd want to stay longer than a night in September. It was really hot! I was given a pull-thru spot and no one was parked anywhere close to me. They had full hook ups. The restrooms are kept looked and you have to have the park manager unlock it if you need to use them. The clubhouse is still being worked on, so it was unavailable while we were there. It is in the desert, so vegetation is lacking. We camped at Hassler's RV Park (formerly Casa Del Sol RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Catalina Spa RV Resort, Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this resort due to its affiliation with Coast to Coast. Even though the nightly rate was waived, I had to pay roughly $23 per night for the amenities. The amenities we pretty good, but it always bothers me when they hit the old wallet. Since it was still pretty hot during early Sept, there were very few others in the park, outside of the long-termers. The spot we were given was just big enough for our rig, had 50 amp service and full hook ups. They had cable, but it wasn't working at our site. The park also offered wifi, but it was very poor - nearly nonexistent. The roads in the park were wide and paved. The best amenity was their pool. It was very large and the temp of the water made for an excellent night time swim. They also have a spa which is also large. The park has laundry and a club house. The bathrooms were very clean and modern. There is a small store close to the pool and appears to have drinks and some grocery items you might have forgotten. The park is gated and you need a code to enter. We camped at Catalina Spa RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Adelanto RV Park , Adelanto, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I picked this park out of the need for a one-night stay. I wasn't expecting much, but I was very surprised once I checked in. The manager was very friendly and provided some much needed road directions for the bestest to Desert Hot Springs. We were escorted to our site which was roomy and long enough for our rig and truck. We got 50 amp service with full hook ups. The park is very well maintained, but the roads in Adelanto are pretty poor once you get off the main drag. The restrooms are clean and have an electronic lock. I was very pleased with the park and would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back that way. We camped at Adelanto RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park off the main road. The park is large with gravel roads and pads. We elected to go with elec/ water only, this the lower price. The pad was long enough for my RV and truck, with ample space between other RVs. The bathrooms are older, but very clean. In the rear of the park are fulltime who live here, but nearly all of them are seniors. The park is next to a river with a swimming hole that looks very inviting. The park is only about 8 miles from Sequoia NP which is the main reason I picked it. Overall I am very pleased with this park. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Yanks RV Resort, Greenfield, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 8 days and it was purely delightful. The park is immaculate. They had very wide and long concrete pads with cable and good wifi. The grounds are beautifully manicured with flowers and other shrubbery. The bathrooms and showers were very nice; they were tiled, very clean (cleaned everyday), floor towels, and large showers. The best thing was the showers are individualized so you don't have to share. They have a nice, clean pool, too. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Boulder Creek RV Resort, Lone Pine, California

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This was a wonderful RV park. Plenty of trees to to make the summer heat more tolerable. The RV spots are wide with room to park a vehicle. The power issue reported in other posts did not affect us. We had 50 amp service and full hookups. The park has a small grocery store that makes it convenient. The club house is more like a museum with lots of history about the area. It's air conditioned, too, so that helps during the heat. The Wi-Fi was not too bad, but Air tv was sparse. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back this way! They also have a pool and hot tub. Everything is well maintained and kept clean. We'll worth the cost! We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

While here, be sure to go to the "Alabama Hills", an area of huge holders where numerous western movies were filmed. It will definitely make you recall a few old western that you've seen. It's just a mile or so west of Line Line and costs nothing. Also, while you're on the main road heading west out of Line Pine, keep driving to the end of the road and see a wonderful waterfall and My Whitney! Well worth it!

Ashland's Creekside CG and RV Park (formerly Glenyan RV Park & CG), Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older RV Park designed for smaller rigs. We have a big rig, but the gentleman helping us check in found us a spot. The unfortunate thing was that I had to drive thru the entire park to get to my spot (one way road in and out). The road was very challenging given the trees, turns and other rigs near the edge of the road. We did it and backed into our spot. The spot was just large enough for my rig, but I had to squeeze our F-350 dually in next to the rig. The park was fairly clean and they had countless different fruit beating trees that they allowed you to pick - my wife enjoyed that aspect. We stayed only two nights and it was actually enjoyable. We camped at Ashland's Creekside CG and RV Park (formerly Glenyan RV Park & CG) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rising River RV Park, Roseburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This park is relatively small, but very clean and quaint. The staff was very nice and helpful. The park is next to a beautiful river that you can actually swim or fish. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed it get much. We had a big tree next to our rig and it provided plenty of shade. We were escorted to our site and I noticed the turns are a little tight, but manageable. We really enjoyed this park. We camped at Rising River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Diamond Lake RV Park, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not correctly shown on Goggle Maps, however there is a sign propped-up on the road to guide you in. The park is large and the roads are easy to navigate. We were escorted to our site and they helped spot me while I backed in. The spot was wide and not close to anyone. They had full hookups with 50 amp power. The park is in a forest, but none of the trees were too close to the RV. I actually took some time lapse shots of the night sky, as it was very dark and we had enough clearing to view most of the sky. The folks at the park were friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed two day trips to Crater Lake NP which was only a few miles away. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I think the RV Park is associated with the Diamond Lake resort a few miles up the road. There are two restaurants up the road; one for a quick meal and the other a nice sit-down restaurant with a very good hamburger. They offer other dishes, but I'm a burger fiegn. The Diamond Lake resort is right on Diamond Lake and very nice.

Beachfront RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This looks to be a city-run RV park, and it looks like it. The park is just one long road with RV parking on either side. We parked on the heavy-duty side and the spot is perpendicular to the road, making the turn-in a challenge. The spots are narrow, too. We were pretty close to each RV on either side of us. Once the RV was parked there was no room for my truck; I ended up parking it in a public parking area on front of my rig. The cable was non-existent and the Wi-Fi not much better. We stayed here 3 nights and luckily, it was quiet at night. The park has a 14 day limit, but from the looks of it some people look like they live here fulltime. We camped at Beachfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Turtle Rock RV Resort, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was planned as a late-night stop over. I wished I would have planned a longer stay. The park is nice with ample room between RVs. We got a back In spot near the road, but it was not nearly as noisy as I was fearing. The spots have full hookups with 50 amp power and the bathrooms and showers are individualized, so you have the room to yourself. There is a very short walk to the beach and the beach was very nice. If I hadn't made plans for the following nights, I would have stayed here for at least 2-3 nights. We camped at Turtle Rock RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
