Badlands / White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Checkin friendly staff, escorted to site. Gravel sites, tight roads, and close to neighbors. We stepped out into large dirt puddle when it rained. We chose not to use showers. Nice fenced dog area usable only when wind blew. Due to large amounts of rain the mosquitoes were unbearable. It was hot each day and a breeding ground for them. We camped at Badlands / White River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground, Salem, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful manicured lush green park. Spacious sites and lots of green area to walk dog. People very friendly and owners take pride in their park! There is a pool which we didn’t use. There were two drawbacks, showers cost 25 cents for 6 minutes which I would think would be included as part of nightly rate. Second, it is close to a hog farm so the air was a fragrant manure smell, which the owners cannot help. Lastly, cookies and coffee available in office each day. We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Flying Goose Campground, Fairmont, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful lush green grassy park on Lake Imogene. Nice wooden swings in area facing lake for relaxing, a beach area, and a dock. Seasonal sites are all around lake edge and our short term pull through site was in the back. The whole park is nicely manicured and the owner seems very nice and works hard. Curbside trash pickup, escorted to site. All very nice. Gravel pad and bath house is in a large building in the center. The concrete showers I chose not to use. We camped at Flying Goose Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was nice and had well manicured green areas. Some seasonal campers and a more adult campground. Good areas to walk dog. Checkin was quick and staff was very friendly. Blackhawk Valley Campground, Rockford, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful grounds and green areas. Mini golf, playground, and great place for children to play in open space. Seasonal campers on the perimeter and over night, short stays have pull in sites where you drive up a hill on grass to a not so level site. Our site had dark dirt around door but grass on the back. Sites were somewhat close but okay. Wonderful shade and beautiful view of green area in the middle area. Bathhouses were horrible with webs and bugs and the separate shower rooms” were disgusting. New upgraded bath house sorely needed. We camped at Blackhawk Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Lake RV Resort, Crossville, Tennessee

Overall Rating:

Very relaxing park, quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed the site on the lake with the wrought iron table and chairs and the couple swing was delightful! We stayed two nights and walked our dog around the lake several times. Nice park and plan to return. We camped at Spring Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We found the hwy 127 yard sale can set up 10 days before the official date of the yard sale. And we were there the weekend before the actual start date. We enjoyed browsing through all the things people were selling and talking to the vendors. All kind of things for sale but fun just looking too!
