Ocean Waves Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a much smaller park than their neighbors and lack some amenities but if you spend time around your campsite, traveling, and at the beach this place is better. Simple layout and enough space for most - the only possible problem is getting into your site as most tow vehicles are out front of campsites and can make the backing in a bit difficult but nothing crazy. Beach is a short walk and easy. We camped at Ocean Waves Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Oaks RV Resort, Greenville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice quiet campground that only has about 14 sites. I don't believe there are any facilities available, although I never looked for them. Some sites are on the pond but out in the sun. We had a nice shady site with plenty of space. The only reason I gave it a 7 is because our patio faced our neighbors patio. This is great if you're traveling with someone who else and you want to have "group" camping; otherwise you might compete with radios, conversations, etc. overall, I would highly recommend. We camped at Whispering Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

East Carolina University is only about 5 miles away and with that comes plenty of restaurants but we didn't go to any. Aside from that not much in the area

Jones Station RV Park, Mebane, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice and clean RV Park. Not the best for kids but they do have a playground for them. Site was very level and water, sewer, and electricity were in perfect locations. I did put service at 4 stars vs. 5 stars because they closed their store at 5pm on Saturday but the actual service was exceptional. For a quiet getaway this is a nice park. We camped at Jones Station RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
