Travellers Rest, Darby, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This place is one of the gems in Bitterroot Valley, MT! Beautiful grounds very well taken care of by amazing owners, who make this campground such a pleasure to stay! We camped in our 5th wheel for a week and it was hard to leave...The sites are level with nice trees, grass, picnic tables and views of the mountains. Spotless private bathrooms/showers, nice laundry room. Plenty of space for extra parking, super friendly people around and simply great vibes. Short walking distance from downtown and plenty of outdoor things to do. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to stay again at Traveler's Rest next year when exploring Montana! We camped at Travellers Rest in a Fifth Wheel.

Tamarack RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We are full time RVers and stayed in lots of parks around the country. However Tamarack RV park is in my book one of the top notch parks and no they don't have a pool, a tub or a rec room, but their customer service and attitude is what makes it a 5 star experience! Every staff member at the park went extra mile to help us with any issues and questions we had. We are going on the third week staying here and love it! It is a quiet cool oasis between pine trees with immaculate grounds. Clean private bathrooms and convenient laundry room. Very reasonably priced considering high demand area. The spaces are a bit tight to get into due to narrow lanes, but they are also fairly wide, level and separated by bushes from adjacent sites. Very close to shopping, dining and only 10 min drive to downtown. We hope to return next year and stay here again! We camped at Tamarack RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Water's Edge RV Resort, Cascade, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it! The park is very busy during this time of the year and very sought after location, so the bathrooms are somewhat clean, but not sparkling which is understandable when trying to keep up with so many campers :-) Also a lot of campers make fires, so it can get pretty smoky at times. Our site was spacious with trees and shade. The location of the park is awesome right on the peaceful Payette river with walking and biking trails right next to it. Walking distance to lake Cascade, the dam and the state park. Park people are very friendly and we felt taken care of. The only thing that for some reason we got 30 amps site, and got power outages a few times when using too many appliances. We camped at Water's Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hells Canyon Resort, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and well maintained park with concrete and grassy level sites. Located right by the marina on the outskirts of Clarkston. Short drive to Lewiston ID right across the river and to beautiful parks with bike paths near the river on both sides. Other reviewers complained about the noise - it is true that the park is next to the highway, however we stayed there for a week and were never bothered by it, it wasn't so bad as some reviews portray it. Our spot was closer to the water though, so if you are sensitive, ask for a spot closer to the water. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Private clean showers and bathrooms, rec room, swimming pool and hot tub which we didn't use, but all looked very nice and inviting. Hells Canyon State park is very pretty. I definitely recommend this park! We camped at Hells Canyon Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is our second stay in this park this year, this time on the way down South, stayed for a week. Consistently great customer service, cleanliness and order across the board and simply awesome atmosphere! Love their super wide sites where we could park 2 large vehicles on both sides of the rig. Will remain our go to park when we are in Nampa area! We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground within walking distance to gorgeous Spokane river and awesome biking/walking Centennial trail that goes along. Located in a quiet residential area of Spokane Valley with very convenient freeway access. We have a 42 ft long 5th wheel and were able to maneuver with no problem through the park, detach and park the truck behind it. The owner let us park our additional smaller rig (a van and 16 ft cargo trailer) for no additional charge near our site. We also have 5 slides so it was kinda close to our site neighbors but not too bad. Clean showers/bathrooms and laundry room. Very helpful and friendly staff people and all work hard to make the camp a pleasant place to stay, which is much appreciated. The campground is located by the train tracks so you will hear the train a few times a day from any site, however it is not as bad as some reviews portray it, plus we camped there for 2 weeks so by the end of our stay we barely noticed it. We enjoyed staying there and will definitely stay again when in the area! We camped at Spokane KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Sky RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

During our travels through Montana we observed that it is still pretty wild and so are its RV parks! LOL. However this is exactly why we like it...including its simple and almost spartan RV parks. This park is nothing fancy - you won't find a recreation room, a swimming pool or a hot tub. It had all we needed though - clean bathrooms and a washer/dryer (didn't use the shower). I will rate it 5 stars because of the following (not necessarily in the order of importance) - incredibly pretty and peaceful location (perched between the cliff and a cute creek), the helpfulness of the manager and great weekly rate. We would wake every morning and go for a bike ride along the creek following the bike path that is right next to the campground leading to awesome peaceful Washoe park that is over 100 years old, with the duck pond, baseball field, trout hatchery, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a bunch of wild deer roaming around! At night from our back door we would hear Warm Springs creek murmuring and watch the starry sky. We loved everything there - Anaconda is absolutely charming and peaceful town with friendly locals, amazing architecture and tons of history! I left a piece of my heart there and we'll be coming back in a heartbeat. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Countryside RV Park, LLC, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and peaceful RV park in the wide open countryside with the view of the mountains!!! The grounds are very well maintained, gravel fairly level spots and lush green grassy area around each spot. Bathrooms and showers are very cozy and clean, and so is the laundry space. Great internet signal too. The owner/manager lady is very friendly and helpful - I had a package that got there after we left and she forwarded it to me at no cost! We stayed there for a week and enjoyed it a lot! Will definitely stay again when in the area. We camped at Countryside RV Park, LLC in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the best parks we've seen. Extremely well maintained, manicured lawns, sparkling swimming pool, level gravel sites and concrete pads with picnic tables. Understandably very sought after - full occupancy most of the time. Staff is incredibly friendly, professional and helpful - feels like a family. Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is very pretty and VERY busy park just off Hwy 20 outside of Burns! We got an awesome spot on the edge of the park with natural canopy of trees and enjoyed natural shade for the entire week we stayed there. Showers and bathrooms are clean, nice laundry room. Ladies bathroom have 2 stalls but men's have only one, so you'll have to wait during busy times. There are a couple of full timers in the park, otherwise most of the people as we observed stay for 1 night and then leave - interesting to see how the park can be almost completely empty in the morning and jampacked at night, including tents on the grassy areas and a couple of cabins. They are pretty stringent about 11 am check out and charge $10 for each additional hour. Despite the park being next to the highway, the noise levels are negligible and the park is very quiet at night even at full occupancy. Cellular connection and internet were kinda spotty. Overall it's an enjoyable and cozy park, we liked it! We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wild Goose Motel Lodge, Merrill, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

The owners of this place take customer service and care to a whole new level. We parked there for three weeks and there was no concern or request that hasn't been addressed. We extremely enjoyed staying there and getting to know this cute tiny town, local people and the owners. Note: this is not an RV park per se, but a motel with a few RV hook ups so you won't have showers or laundry facilities. We easily managed though as we used our shower and took the laundry to the laundromat just a block away. There is a very cozy courtyard and a recreation room with full kitchen and lounge area, TV, DVDs and magazines and a bathroom attached. The sites are gravel and pretty level, the water pressure was awesome and the quality of water as well, we even used it for drinking (very unusual for us!) Very short walk to groceries, restaurants, post office, hardware store, library and a coffee booth. The place is extremely well managed and taken care of, clean, quiet and safe. Will definitely stay there again when in the area!!! We camped at Wild Goose Motel Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver State RV Park (formerly Winnemucca / I-80 KOA), Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

On arrival I didn't like it that much. It was windy, hot and dusty day and the fact that sites are dirt and gravel doesn't help. We were checked in fast and escorted to site, plus they let us park our van and trailer for free in the back row, we appreciated that. The park grew on me as some time went by and it turned out to be actually pretty nice. They have very cool features, such as miniature Western set up and a hammock by a koi pond at the entrance, yurts and cabins for rent, tents cleaning and dog washing stations. I have to mention separately their decent size swimming pool 8 ft deep on one end that was a delight on a hot day! They light a camp fire every night from 7 to 9:30 and it makes the camp look very cozy. Our site was somewhat unlevel but we managed, some spots have trees and bushes. Mostly young people work in the reception and maintenance, all very helpful and look very busy around the park. Showers, restrooms and laundry room are spacious and clean. There is a gym with some basic equipment, a small store, and they also serve hot dogs and ice cream right there at the club house. Overall I would say it is a nice park and we got unbeatable price of $150 per week, so we were pretty satisfied with everything. I would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Silver State RV Park (formerly Winnemucca / I-80 KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Iron Horse RV Resort, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This park is adorable! I read other people reviews about being bothered by noise and proximity of train tracks and was concerned at first, but the reality is we camped there for 6 nights and rarely heard the train, and it was never in the middle of the night anyway. The camp is very clean with manicured grassy areas, clean showers and restrooms, awesome clubhouse with pool table and huge TV screen, spacious laundry room. WiFi was pretty good most of the time. I liked the fact that you have a concrete pad by the RV (the site is gravel and pretty level). The girls at the front desk are super professional and friendly. I have to say the vibe of the city is super friendly in general. We enjoyed very much and will definitely stay again!!! We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ely KOA, Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is very basic, but very pretty and peaceful park right on the outskirts of Ely (about 8 min drive to downtown, since Ely is very small). Located in the valley between snowcapped mountains. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Our site was long and wide enough to park our 5th wheel and 2 large vehicles. Shared bathrooms and showers, but spotless and cleaned regularly. There is no clubhouse per se, just the reception area and a small store where you can buy bare necessities and local souvenirs. WiFi for the first couple of days was non existent, but once connected, was more than enough to stream movies, even with full occupancy of the park on Memorial Day weekend. Despite full occupancy that weekend, the park was very quiet and pleasant. We camped for 7 nights and enjoyed it very much - will definitely stay again when in Ely!! Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park for 5 months prior to our first road trip from Dec 2017 to May 2018 - we were at that time locals from Las Vegas who decided to be full time RVers. Before picking this park I visited about 5 RV camps in the area and got the best vibe from this one, mostly because the friendliness of the front desk ladies and the vibe inside of the compound. The park is very well maintained and managed - safe and quiet, very clean bathrooms and showers, sparkling clean swimming pool, drinking water machine, clean dog runs. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of staying there and would definitely choose it again if we decide to visit Las Vegas!
