Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 days in early April 2018. We paid $39.99/night plus tax so it came out to $44.83/night. Admittedly, we aren't huge KOA fans because the sites are always way too close, but the campground was close to Spokane, the staff was friendly and our site was pull-thru, level and had full hook-ups - all pluses. They also had all the standard amenities offered by KOA's - showers, laundry, dog park, pool, playground, store, WiFi, cable. Just watch the dryers in the laundry room - they got really hot and melted 2 of my blankets. The bathrooms were pretty well maintained and the showers were warm with great water pressure. The campground is in the middle of a city and off of a busy road so there was some noise from that but it is easy access to the freeway. Overall, not too bad if you like the KOA feel. We camped at Spokane KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Kanaskat-Palmer State Park, Ravensdale, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 days in early April 2018. It is a beautiful park - so green and easy access to the river and the towns nearby. We paid $25/day with a $5 non-resident fee and an $8 online reservation fee. They have back-in and pull-thru sites with 30 amp electricity. It was extremely rainy when we stayed and although the site was asphalt, it was not level at all and we had a pool of water in front of our door the entire time. The bathrooms were individual rooms with a toilet and shower and were very clean. It looked like the showers were set up to accept quarters at some point but they were still free when we were there. They were warm, but the water stream was pretty weak. I'm sure this campground would be wonderful in warmer/drier weather! We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nehalem Bay State Park, Nehalem, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here at the beginning of April 2018 and loved it so much we extended our stay 2 days. In addition to the nightly rate there is an $8 fee for reserving online. The beach was a short walk from the campsite over some dunes and it was beautiful and full of sand dollars! The facilities were clean, showers were free and had good pressure and warmth. RV sites were paved asphalt and ours was level and fit our 26' trailer and truck perfectly. It was busy when we were there but there were never any noise problems. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that when we wanted to extend our stay we asked the host if we could fill out the registration card and provide payment for the extra days. We were told we could but they wouldn't record those payments/reservations until the following morning so if someone went online and reserved the spot in the meantime, that would supersede us. The only way to guarantee the spot was to go online and reserve it and pay the $8 reservation fee again. Wish the hosts could have helped us out and just recorded the reservation right then, but I'm sure they have protocol they have to follow. The site was nice enough to pay the extra $8. We camped at Nehalem Bay State Park in a Travel Trailer.
