Cape Charles / Chesapeake Bay KOA, Cape Charles, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Quick efficient check in. The road guide was extremely helpful. On the downside, our site was not level. When we deployed our levelers, our front wheels were about a foot off the ground. We camped at Cape Charles / Chesapeake Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You really don't have to leave the park. Beach, pool, bar/ restaurant, watercraft rentals and ice cream parlor are all on site. If you must go, Cape Charles is a great little town with shopping and restaurants. My recommendation is Cape Charles Brewing. Great restaurant, great beer.

Virginia Beach KOA, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were super friendly and efficient. The facility was well maintained. It was close to the beach (especially using the city trolly system with a stop right in the CG). Our only complaint would have been low water pressure during peak use times. It dropped to nothing on a couple occasions. Otherwise, this was a great facility with more amenities than we could use in our 5 day stay. We camped at Virginia Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a shuttle stop for a city trolley that will take you to the ocean front and the aquarium ($4 All day), which runs every 20 min. We also enjoyed local paddling spots and restaurants.

Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground, Accident, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We wanted to stay somewhere that was close to a couple of attractions we wanted to visit. A google maps search revealed Bumble Bee. What a gem!! When we arrived, one of the staff was there to guide us to our spot and offer any assistance with set up. The campground was beautiful. Quiet, wooded and immaculately kept. Also, the little details set this campground apart, such as landscapes between each site. We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground is just north of Deep Creek Lake. It's also convenient to sites such as Falling Water and the Flight 93 Memorial. We also found some great kayaking at Savage River SP. We had a week here, but could've stayed two.

Delaware Seashore State Park, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over the Easter Weekend (3 nights). It was off season, so the park was not crowded at all. We loved the proximity to the beach and we loved walking over the bridge. It's very close to local attractions in Bethany and Rehoboth Beaches. I gave the service fewer stars only because, no attendants or camp hosts were on duty. We had a pull through site and full hookups (which is uncommon in a lot of state parks). Overall, this was a very peaceful and memorable trip. We will definitely be back. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are tons of nice restaurants in the area. And breweries, breweries breweries!!! Did I mention the breweries? Shout out to The Bethany Diner in B. Beach for breakfast. Wonderful crew, great food. There is also a great music scene in R. Beach (very limited parking though).
