Greenfield State Park, Greenfield, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very disappointing the state doesn't spend any money on this campground. Its self defeating, they don't spend money here cause no one goes here, and no one goes here cause they don't fix things. Staff only does the bare minimum. Nice hot free showers. Beach has lots of weeds. Sites are big and private. Bathrooms are in disrepair, roads are terrible. Water is weedy. Fire rings need to be replaced. Small camp store for wood and other camping stuff. We camped at Greenfield State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Coleman RV Park, Brownfield, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a city owned RV park with about 10 sites. It's on a slight slope. It is across from a city park. It was dusty when the wind blew. Short walk to a small town. They have a donation box if you so choose. Was OK for a short stop over. Stayed 3 nights. Dump station nearby. We camped at Coleman RV Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Jack's RV Ranch, Jamul, California

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly full timers living with a small section set aside for transients. Would only give 4 days discount even though sites were empty. Wouldn't a site filled at discount rate be better than empty? Campground bordered a horse paddock. There was a small farm next door that had small animals such as goats. Is located in the mountains about 33 miles from San Diego which is why we stayed here. People were friendly. Lots of farm country nearby. We camped at Diamond Jack's RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Sunset (NPS Campground), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Great value. Multiple restrooms that are very clean. Some sinks available for washing dishes. Outside faucets for filling water jugs. Dumpsters onsite. Only way to improve this place would be showers but with the scarcity of water I can see why there are none. Very nice view of Death Valley. We camped at Sunset (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Furnace Creek visitor center has a gift shop. There is a gas station next to the park but is way over priced. Was $4.89 when I was here. Golf course nearby and restaurant neither of which I visited. Plenty of room for all rigs big and small.

Governors Landing Campground, Del Rio, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $4.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice small campground. We stayed for 4 days. Very scenic overlooking the water. A little highway noise but very tolerable. There is water to fill your tanks if needed. Water is shared between sites. Paved road very easy to navigate. Stayed here in a 31 foot motor home. Awesome covered picnic table on concrete pad next to site with BBQ grill. There is no shade but bushes block sites and give plenty of privacy. You have go under the bridge to get to the campground which is located off of RT. 90 a short distance from Del Rio Texas. It's in Amstad National Recreation Area. We camped at Governors Landing Campground in a Motorhome.

Magic River Resort, Long Beach, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Great little campground. This is where Passport America got started. You can't beat the price. There is a communal campfire that staff make coffee over for all to enjoy. Staff also make an evening fire for all to enjoy. Very friendly place. We camped at Magic River Resort in a Motorhome.

First Landing State Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

All reviews before mine about sums it up. There was a little noise from the military base that is next door. They were doing exercises with hovercraft that was quite loud. We camped at First Landing State Park in a Motorhome.

Swartswood State Park, Newton, New Jersey

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice restrooms with hot showers. Nice beach and great trails. Sites were in sort of a field with no barriers between sites. It was rainy so the grassy sites were muddy. We camped at Swartswood State Park in a Motorhome.

Koreshan State Historic Site, Estero, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. Lots of vegetation to provide privacy at site. Park is gated at night to provide security. Easy to leave after hours with an access code for re-entry. There is a river at the campground with nice trails. They have a farmers market every Sunday. Some old historic building on site as part of the park. We camped at Koreshan State Historic Site in a Motorhome.

Greenfield State Park, Greenfield, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very disappointing. The campers beach was cluttered with sea weed and not being taken care of. There are two large mud holes that you have to walk thru to get to the campers beach. Camp sites aren't being raked as they should. Water at the camp ground was spotty and so it was hit or miss if you wanted water. Water was shut off without warning as I was taking a shower, half way thru, and was told I could go rinse off in the lake. There were pot-o-potties through out the camp ground. We were never told about the water issues. Trash dumpster was over flowing. All the staff do is drive around in their buggies. About all the staff do is clean the restrooms. Two sinks in the restroom next to site 166 were out of order. This place is so over grown you can't tell where the trails or paths are. NH needs to be putting some effort into this camp ground because people are not coming back. Look at your numbers. I for one might not be back. Very poor excuse of a campground. We camped at Greenfield State Park in a Motorhome.
