Kendall COE, Jamestown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful place to camp! Sites are well maintained. It's quiet and has fishing both lake and trout stream. Great place to ride bikes and they also have a snack shack (great food) and a visitors center at the hatchery. Fish cleaning station for use. 2 dump stations. Camped a lot of places and this by far is our favorite! Camp sites are also semi private. Annex camping isn't bad either just no privacy and not as much shade but bath house is very nice and area is well kept. The camp sites that face the river are normally a cooler area to be at night fall due to the cool air that comes off the river. Beautiful setting. Safe. Friendly host. We camped at Kendall COE in a Travel Trailer.

Fall Creek Campground COE, Monticello, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This campground only has 10 sites. During the week - not too busy. Weekends - it's usually full. Very clean and quiet. Gates are locked at 10pm at night. Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. Boat ramp is narrow. Campsites are small. Dump station is a little difficult to back into and the campground is on an incline. This campground is surrounded by water on 3 sides. It's close to town and also a large marina is within a few miles. Nice for a short stay. Lake here is gorgeous! Boat parking is cramped with not too many places to park. This site was perfect for us. Thankful we could also park our boat here because there was no parking available near the boat ramp. Very small but quaint campground. Quiet and peaceful. Very well maintained and clean!Over all we enjoyed our stay. Just keep in mind it's very small. We camped at Fall Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Conley Bottom marina is also close via road or lake. Recommend their restaurant for a get away. There are no activities here at this camp ground other than a nice kids play area so, if you have a boat, bring it along because this part of the lake is gorgeous!
