Buffalo Valley Camping, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 5 nights in one of the outer loops. This happened to overlap with the Grandma's marathon weekend, so the park was quite full for a few of the days. Even filled to capacity, the park was quiet and pleasant. There are no sewer hook ups, but the staff will bring a truck to pump out your holding tanks anytime during regular business hours at no extra charge - we found this to be incredibly useful! We had a couple big rain storms during our stay, which turned our site quite muddy. Showers are $.50/4 minutes. We thought we'd save them a trip out to pump our tanks by showering our family of four in their shower facilities. However, with paying $50/night for our site, we were not about to pay for showers as well. The staff appeared rather gruff on the phone, but in person, they truly went out of their way to be helpful. We camped at Buffalo Valley Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Harvest Farm Campground, Cresco, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and quiet park. It is surrounded by grassy hills and farmland. A bit of a drive on a gravel road to reach the entrance, but that wouldn't stop us from returning. We stayed one night and enjoyed a grassy, pull-through space. Surprisingly good wifi! There are also 2 playgrounds that my 6 & 8 year old appreciated. We camped at Harvest Farm Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sun Valley Campground, Chillicothe, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, quiet park. The staff was very accommodating with our unexpectedly late arrival. We stayed for just one night as we passed through the area, and appreciated the easy access pull-thru spot we were given. The park also has a great little playground for kids. We were traveling with our 6 & 8 year olds who both enjoyed the play equipment. Be mindful that this is a cash only park. We camped at Sun Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.
