Gordy Road RV Park, Bacliff, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The quote on the sign in front says, "A peaceful retreat." That it is!!! This is very laid back park and if you are looking for everyday activities this is probably not the place. If quiet and solitude is what you are looking for you will enjoy this park. Staff goes out of their way to help and unlike many parks actually act like they are glad you are there. Two fenced in dog runs. Off the main hwy far enough that road noise is minimal and did I mention NO railroad tracks. They advertise WIFI as everyone does--BUT it actually works well. Park is approx. 80% full and WIFI has not dropped off. This park is about 4 years old in a residential neighborhood so building/facilities are in good shape. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Gordy Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Guaranty RV Park, Junction City, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice newer park. Only been open for about 8 months. Finally someone built a NEW park. Guaranty is a huge RV dealership with the park setting behind the sales lot. Not a park you can see from the road unless you know it's there. Pull-up in front of store and register inside. They will direct you or lead you to your site. Excellent store with just about anything you want-or need. Pads are concrete with grass all around. Most sites are pull-throughs with a few back-ins. We camped at Guaranty RV Park in a Motorhome.

Judd Huntington Recreational Park (Elks Lodge), Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Called and reserved for 10 days. Pleasant check-in experience. They acted like they were glad we were there instead of--how quick can I get rid of you. They led us to site #8 which was a huge gravel back-in(approx. 75'deep). Water and 50amp electric. two dump stations on site. Most sites are separated with a hedge of trees or bushes. Feels very private. WIFI better than average for an RV park. My only negative comment is our Verizon phones only had 1 bar but host will show you how to set up cellular Wi-Fi calling if you need help. Not much the park can do about cellular services in the area. We dropped calls in the RV but if we went outside we were OK. Poor cell service even in town. Maybe 2 bars but that was about as good as you can get. This campground is for Elk members only. We camped at Judd Huntington Recreational Park (Elks Lodge) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Elk members only. 35 sites total. 10 back-ins with trees in back that could affect satellite. 25 long pull-throughs all satellite friendly, 30/50amp service, w/e/sewer hookups plus dump on site. Park sits in middle of huge field well off Hwy 101 so traffic noise is minimal. Gravel roads(a little dusty) and parking area but grass in between sites with picnic tables and fire rings(wood for sale from host). dry camping is available. Big rig friendly. We camped at Elks Campground #1437 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Garibaldi Or. is 10 miles north on 101. Nice marina with---wait for it--fish, crabs, oysters right off the boats for sale. Highly recommend the steam engine train trip to Rockaway Beach and back. It makes 3 trips a day from Garibaldi. We made first trip of the day--walked around Rockaway Beach for 2 hours and caught the next trip back to Garibaldi.
