Sayre City Park Campground, Sayre, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park must be a well kept secret that is a little gem. The price is better than reasonable. The place had very few campers so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Payment is on the honor system which is why I rated at a 3; we saw no one but we needed no one.The roads are easily maneuvered while driving on gravel. The sites are large, pull through and gravel. They can be a bit unlevel but it was not a problem for us. Our satellite worked well as there was no cable. We had 30 amp electric and water. The place was just a couple of miles from interstate 40, easy off and on, but very quiet. It is part of a large city park complex. This is a true bargain, quiet and peaceful. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Sayre City Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The people in the office were very friendly. We had a pull through site just off Interstate 40. The traffic noise did not interfere with our sleep during the night. They had a nice indoor pool that was refreshing after a long day on the road. The bathrooms were clean. The roads and sites were gravel and easy to maneuver our 28' motor home with a tow. There was a small dog park to exercise your pet, a playground, and a large grassy area. The site had trees and bushes to provide privacy but did not interfere with our rig. They also had cable TV. They have a car/limo that will take you to a steak house for dinner if you choose. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

It was a very windy drive so we stopped early. The campground is close to the interstate but you do not hear the noise. The area is desert like so there is no grass but it is attractive and well cared for. The roads and sites are paved and very easy to maneuver even for larger rigs. The sites are all full hook-ups and pull through. The bathrooms & showers were clean and very nice. There was no dog walk but plenty of area to walk your pet. There was a free shuttle to and from the casino, which had a very reasonable dinner menu. Everyone was very friendly. The office graciously provided an adapter for the cable if needed. They also have a travel center with a gas station. This is just 45 miles west of Albuquerque. We stayed in a 28' motor home with a tow. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Route 66 General Store and RV Park, Seligman, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was essentially a small gravel parking lot with full time residents. There was no grass. The front desk was friendly. We could not get the satellite to work which could have been due to strong winds. Google maps incorrectly directed us 15 miles west of the campground. The sites were not very long. We camped at Route 66 General Store and RV Park in a Motorhome.
