Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Park staff are friendly and helpful and the site we stayed on was an easy pull through with shade and picnic table. Easy set up with level gravel and lots of space around our RV. There is an off leash grassed dog area though very small. Good park for easy access to Amarillo and the Big Tex steak house. They have a free pick up and drop off arrangement with Big Tex which we didn't use. Palo duro Canyon is a 30 minute drive from RV park and definitely worth seeing. We went out there early before the heat set in and had a wonderful time driving through the canyon and exploring some of the features like the amphitheatre. We camped at Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Big Tex is very touristy and food is very average. Fun place for the kids and the bar serves good local beers.
