My wife and I are full time RV'ers, and we visit a good many parks. This is one of the more attractive parks that we've been in. The sites are wide, level, and covered in well maintained (clean) beach sand. The sand looks nice, However it rained while we were here and it was difficult to keep the sand outside, for the wet sand tended to stick to our shoes. But this is the desert and so this would be a rare problem. The sand is very attractive. The sites are also bordered on three sides with tall trees that do a nice job of isolating you from your neighbors. You can see this clearly from Google Maps satellite view. We easily got Dish satellite locks. The park is a little tight having only back-in sites. I had to bend the fifth wheel nearly 90 degrees to back into my site. Not terribly difficult, but it is nice when it it can be done easier. The host helped me park the RV and she was obviously experienced at doing so. If I had taken the time to better position the trailer it would have been possible to park the pickup alongside the trailer (it was raining). I was able to park in front, but would not have been able to do so if the trailer was any longer (it's 30 feet). I think some sites are a little longer. There is a pool and a spa, but the heat was not working in these during our stay. The restrooms and showers were very clean. My only real complaint was the lack of connectivity. There is no wifi and cell service was not usable. Phone service would come and go, but mostly be gone. The host told me that there was a hot spot at the office, but I couldn't detect it the one time that I tried to use it. It's obvious that this park is someone's pride and joy. It's very nice. We camped at Leapin' Lizard RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are pretty tight and closely placed. Backing into the site took a little effort. Power was good at 116 volts and 59 hz (weather was cool, no ACs in use). Site was not perfectly level side to side. Good shade and pretty area with picnic tables near the river. Some river front sites though these do not have dumps. I will use the river front sites next time and use their dump station. This was really quiet despite the fact that the campground was pretty full. One thing that is quite weird is the placement of the sewer dumps. For some sites the sewer dump is on the passenger side of the RV and in the rear of the site. I stayed in one such site and it required me to run the two lengths of sewer hose diagonally under the trailer from driver's side forward (the trailer's sewer connection) to passenger's side rear bumper where the sewer drain was located. The hose run was uphill and it would have been quite difficult to do a proper downhill slope. Disconnecting the hose tomorrow promises to be a PITA. This run of two hoses had to stretch the hoses pretty tight and I had backed into the site as far as was possible. There are many long termers here but these were pretty neatly maintained sites. This was not the most convenient site I've ever been in, but I would do it again. At $30 I consider it a pretty good value. Wifi signal was very strong but service was VERY SLOW! Painfully slow. Almost old phone style modem slow. Unusable in the afternoons. If getting a site with a dump you might need two lengths of sewer hose. Watch the tree limbs, some are a little low though these can be avoided if you are paying attention. If the grass is wet you would want to remove your shoes at the door else you would track in grass. When entering you veer to the right, turn right at a stop sign and drive a far distance before coming to the office. We camped at Hidden Beaches River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona
Date of Stay:

$40.00
Overall Rating:
We didn't use any of the park's external facilities. My back-in site was easy to enter and leave. Odd thing, there is no 30 amp service. Just 20 and 50 amp. They will loan adapters. Temps were cool so I didn't need AC. 20amp was all I needed. Warned about excessive water pressure. They will loan a regulator. I used my tank and pump. Site was pretty level side to side but sloped pretty bad towards the road. Had to jack my fifth wheel tongue pretty high to get level. So high that stability suffered. So high that I could walk under tongue without ducking ~6ft. Small grass lawn. Biggest surprise, no wifi. $40 per night and no wifi. Not right. I would stay here again, but think they really need to come of age and provide wifi. Otherwise, charge $30. Site was mostly shade. Could only lock on 2 of three Dish satellites. Was very lucky to manage that. Office help was polite. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Be aware of high water pressure. Go elsewhere if you need Internet access

Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming
Date of Stay:
August, 2018 -
$36.00
Overall Rating:
Sites are much too close together, in fact everything is too close together. Cost too much given the narrowness of the sites, the traffic noise and the train noise. Internet was not usable during the day. I am sure this was partially due to the park being full. Though the insist that dog run be used it is a pretty far distance from the site. Someone having difficulty walking might have trouble talking their dog to the dog run. I saw unleashed dogs. I would not stay here again. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:
Nice park. Very large spaces. Excellent separation between spaces. Quiet having no road noise. Facilities were excellent. Laundry room was very usable. VERY easy in and out. Easy satellite locks. This place could be near perfect. One frustration... The office has a sign that asks that you ring a door bell to get service. One time I visited the office and rang the bell several times. Could see the young lady behind the counter on the phone for a VERY long time (several minutes). Am pretty sure it was a personal call. The door was never answered. The owner appeared later and helped me. Excellent with two exceptions 1) Advertised WIFI never worked for even a second. Connections are present sometimes but are very weak and come and go. But when you are connected there is still no Internet. 2) Shade would be really nice and I see that they are working on this. Currently there is no shade. We camped at Round Valley RV Park (formerly Challis Valley RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.
