Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice oark. Front desk helpful. The first site assignment was in total sun, very close, just gravel. We noticed an opposite side was treed and had a lot of nice green grass. The office let me choose a site and move. This helped considerably, since one of our A/C units was not working and we were in a September heat wave. Park is very convenient to all sites and stores. No problem with Electric, water or sewer. We would stay again. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.

Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

As usual, KOA, has cable, nice laundry, free wi-fi, etc. However, when you don't have kids and want quiet and privacy, don't go here. We were slotted in very close, out in the open, full sun and full heat, even in late September. It was nice to be so closecto Historic Harpers Ferry and Walmart. Good stopover on the way south. We camped at Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA in a Motorhome.

Atlantic Shore Pines Campground (formerly Atlantic City North CG), Tuckerton, New Jersey

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice campground, I would have rated higher, but a lot of sand, no pads at sites. We got here at the end of September, so there were next to nobody here. We abd one other camper were the only non-residents. There are a lot of permanent sites, but not trashy. Nice little town of Tuckerton on the water and a lot of stores to stock up with, including Walmart only like 3 miles away. Staff were very nice and sites fairly level, all water, sewer and electricity were fine. FYI, there is no antenna signals, so no TV, other than what you bring. Also, entry road is dirt for about a half a mile. We camped at Atlantic Shore Pines Campground (formerly Atlantic City North CG) in a Motorhome.

Belden Hill Campground, Harpursville, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, clean and nicely landscaped. A lot of seasonal people, but well kept. We had to stay out front in a pull thru, but we stayed only one nite, easy on/off interstate. They had a little "snack shack" open 6:30-8:30 for socializing and icecream. Owners on site and very nice We camped at Belden Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Clute Park Campground (W W Clute Memorial Park), Watkins Glen, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice small campground, a lot of seasonal, but neatly kept. It is right across from Lake Seneca and a nice park. You can wslk to town and WalMart. Great access to alm the area vineyards and breweries. We would have stayed more than 2 days, but the Grand Prix had it filled up. We camped at Clute Park Campground (W W Clute Memorial Park) in a Motorhome.

Woodland Acres Campground, Brownfield, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Sand and a lot of potholes. Woman at check in gave us un clear directions to our site, we ended up at a dead end in a 38' motorhome. Not a good impression. Site was unlevel so hard to get situated. Positive was that there was a lot of foliage between sites, so good for privacy. Seemed like they needed to take more care with their roads. We camped at Woodland Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain View Campground, Morrisville, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

No trees or foliage to separate sites. Road noise is was a little loud. We asked for 50 amp site, they said there was none available, but we watched a site available the entire time. Very srict on some issues. We aked if we could return in 2 days and pay to dump our tanks and tgey said no. I thought that was a little strict, since we had stayed there 4 nites. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

Moose River Campground, St Johnsbury, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One of the very nicest campgrounds we have stayed at yet. Extremely clean, wonderful landscaping, several sites are on the river. Wash house and laundry immaculate. Campground does not cater to kids, which is nice, all adults. Sewer, electric, water all very accessible and cable was quite adequate as well as wifi. We stayed 4 nites as we were visiting friends in the area, but it is 5 minutes from the Interstate, so equally giid fir overnite stop. Riley's seafood restaurant only a half mike away and gas and convenience store a 3 minute walk. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Motorhome.

Lamb City Campground, Phillipston, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here to visit a friend in the area. This was it for campgrounds with full hookups. The sites are grass/dirt, when it rains, the area is flooded. The roads are not in good shape, some pot holes need to be filled. Yhey are very kid friendly with lots for them todo, we don't have kids, so it came across as noisy to us. The campground is about 90% seasinal trailers, some look like they have been there for years. It's ok for one night, but we were over it after 3 nites. We camped at Lamb City Campground in a Motorhome.

Artillery Ridge Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Mice park for being so close to the battlefields and National Park. Very active, especially good for families. We selected a site in advace away from the center, down near the barns, site #322. The only downside would be if you had your windows open, there was some equipment, I think water pumps, that were kinda loud, but we couldn't hear with our A/C running. The camp store stays open late for ice cream runs. I do think the sites could use some work, i.e. leveling and not such a drop off on each side. All in all, good value for easy access to the Historic Downtown of Gettysburg. We camped at Artillery Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rising Fawn, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful place, great for hikers. Trails can be strenuous to the falls. The only negative, if this is even negative, the road up off of I-59 is 1200 feet up with 2 hairpin turns. Best to un-hook your tow vehicle. Park is very vigilant in picking up trash. We stayed in the West Rim, site #43. It has 50 amp service, Electric and water, no sewer. We had plenty of toom for our 38' motorhome and tiw vehicle. The site was actually big enough to fit two motorhomes. After walking the entire West Rim area, we decided this was the best site, especially for a Class A. We camped at Cloudland Canyon State Park in a Motorhome.

Myakka River Motorcoach Resort, Port Charlotte, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 3 nights during Thanksgiving. Extremely nice resort, sidewalks, a board walk over the mangroves by the river, very nice clubhouse with Friday evening "mixer", compliments of the owners. We sort of felt like the "Hillbillies" as our 2018 Class A was not quite up to the "par" of most in the resort. People seemed a bit stand offish till we went to the mixer. Only big disappointment was that we had been promised a site facing north and we were swapped out when we arrived and were facing into the sun. If I had to do over, I would ask for a pull in site, facing NE towards one of the lakes. Was not cheap, but very, very nice. We camped at Myakka River Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.
