Gold Point Ghost Town, Gold Point, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Update: Permanently Closed.......... Owner retired 2yrs ago and nobody has stayed there in about 2yrs. All 5 sites are overrun with weeds. We talked to owner who was very nice and informative but says I have retired. There are 42 people living in this area and get their mail 3 times weekly. Ratings are required.......... We did not camp here. We camped at Gold Point Ghost Town in a Fifth Wheel.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with easy on and off I-80. Check in was quick and easy, park staff was great and they escort you to your site. Wide asphalt roads are [big rig friendly] and nice level concrete sites. Sites are landscaped with artificial grass, picnic table and a tree. Large and very well maintained park. Utilities worked as expected, including cable TV and WIFI. Price reflects Good Sam discount and extra $6 per day for 2 granddaughters. Reason for low overall rating is this park is not dog friendly, yes they have [3] dog parks but they are too small for the amount of dogs using them and therefore, the smell is absolutely terrible. I would suggest they either enlarge them or add [3] more with sprinkler systems so they can be soaked nightly. Because of this issue we will not return. A shame because this is a very nice and well maintained park with a great location. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Likely Place RV & Golf Resort, Likely, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Park is located a mile or two off Hwy 395 but is easy in and out. Golf course on park property. Pull thru site # 1 was pretty level and all gravel didn't have to unhook, and very close to restrooms & laundry room. Very nice campground with restaurant on site. Only complaint is No Internet except at Club House or Laundry Room and so our grand daughters wanted no part of this park. If it was just me and the wife there would be no issues staying here. We camped at Likely Place RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Collier Memorial State Park, Chiloquin, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with easy access off an on Route 97. Most sites look level. Backing in to certain sites with big rigs can be a real challenge because of narrow roads and big rocks and trees. We were unable to back in to site #29 so the great hosts had us try 2 other sites but same issue rocks & trees. Finally host suggested sites B9 & B10 and we were able to back right in, can't say enough how great the hosts were. We had reserved for 3 nights but site was only available for 1 night so when leaving in the morning we stopped at entrance booth and requested refund for last 2 nights and Ranger on duty insisted we accept a full 3 day refund which we did and thanked him many times. Ranger said nobody should have to try and get into as many sites as we did. Bathrooms dated but excellent staff maintains them very well. If we didn't have a large RV we would stay here again. We camped at Collier Memorial State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Easy off & on freeway. This park is very clean and super well maintained. Sites are very level and paved. Nice pool and spa & large pavilion. Our site #54 was across the street from the office and restrooms. We could not believe how many showers & restrooms they have, we counted 5 private restrooms with showers plus 2 large restrooms one each for women and men with 1 shower in each. Not sure why previous review indicated only 2 working showers. They were some of the cleanest restrooms we have been in. We also liked the recycle bins. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rufus RV Park, Rufus, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

New owners have turned this into a very nice park. Don't know why they water during the day making you walk in wet grass. Grounds are kept very well maintained. We had site #29 a pull thru and was very pleased how easy to get in and out was. Remember this area is windy all the time, was nice to watch the wind surfers on other side of freeway. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Rufus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bulldog Diner food was very good... but the waitress was terrible, we did not get any napkins or silverware until I tracked her down after she had already served our food. Linda's restaurant at exit 104 5 mi up the freeway had good food and service every time we ate there. Same exit 104 across the bridge on the WA side is Waving Tree Winery for some excellent wine tasting.

Plymouth Park COE, Plymouth, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

COE along the Columbia River. You can see the freeway & RR track but still very quiet. We had site 27 with elec and water. It was very large with plenty of grass, with large gravel area for the picnic table and fire ring. It was mid 90s everyday and they water nightly. Hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Columbia Sun RV Resort, Kennewick, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

One of the very best parks you will come across except for a couple shower issues... You are escorted to your site and made sure you are parked to best utilize hookups. Maintenance was super everywhere in this park, great areas for dogs. $10 early arrival fee is the nickel & dime trick which we had to pay being 1 hour early.. The really big cons to this park is the showers have very little ventilation & you must push the button every 20 - 30 seconds because the water shuts off. To pay this daily rate and you can't even adjust the Water Temp in the shower is terrible. When you come upon these shower issues it makes you wonder do Owners or Managers ever use the facilities just to make sure they work as they should ???? We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hood Park - COE, Pasco, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice COE campground. Biggest con is they water the park during the day and I mean water for hrs. We had a pull thru site #22 80ft and was plenty long enough, most sites have shade but ours did not. Park Maintenance is very good. No arrival before 2 pm and no exceptions. Very family friendly park with lots of kids. Electric only, but water is available. Camp hosts were very helpful. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Hood Park - COE in a Tent Trailer.

Northern Quest RV Park, Airway Heights, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects AAA discount. Park is very nice but expensive when concert night comes around. Concert Night was $84 plus tax. What does not make any sense is nobody in the park gets anything extra because of the concert, 75% of campers left day of concert. The staff is still learning how to run an RV Park. The sites are very large, we had #38 which we loved. The pool was great and getting lots of use. Currently no shade as trees are to small. We would stay again but will ask when is Concert Night. We camped at Northern Quest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riley Creek COE, Oldtown, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Our rating is for the park itself not management........... The park is beautiful with many nice large big rig sites. Now the issue with park management. This park has many Walk Up Sites..... But they will not release them until 2:30pm and will not tell you how many are available until 2:30pm which make no sense at all. Here we are at the park early [because we camped in site #5] and are told to break camp and park in the parking lot until 2:30pm when they will let you know if you get a site or not....... 2:30 in the afternoon before you know. "Unbelievable" I did ask why so late and the answer is even unbelievable, because we are busy in the morning and early afternoon cleaning sites. Terrible service......... Why have walk up sites at all ???? We camped at Riley Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

McGregor Lakes RV, Marion, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This Park and Lodge across the highway is owned by the same owners. Staff was very nice and pleasant. Check-in was quick and simple. Our site #8 was a pull thru long enough so we didn't have to unhook. We had several meals at the restaurant and every meal was great food & great service. We thought the prices were very reasonable. Only negative was my wife didn't like the laundry situation, you had to get someone from the office to unlock the bldg. because they have regular Washers & Dryers so you pay the staff so much per load. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at McGregor Lakes RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Y Lazy R RV park, East Glacier Park, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Heads up !!! This park and the town are on an Indian Reservation and dogs run loose everywhere. The park restrooms were filthy. All sites are grass and dirt so it does get a little muddy at times. When we arrived there was a lady who greeted us and gave us site #5 and envelope to fill out and then she was gone. We found our site, dropped a check in the office box and were done. Restrooms have code needed to get in and lady forgot to give us code #, called number on check in bldg. several times but no answer, walked over to house on property and same lady come out and gave us code. Laundry area is extremely large. We would not return to this park, a shame because this park has a great location. We camped at Y Lazy R RV park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice COE park on huge lake with some very nice hosts. They have new bath house but not open, according to hosts has been sitting vacant since last yr which is a shame because they could use an updated bath house. Elec at most sites about half 50amps, no water at sites. All sites are asphalt and look level and long, most are big rig friendly. We will stay here again when in the area.
