Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA, Silt, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice KOA. We had a back-in site that backed up to the Colorado river. Our site was nicely landscaped with a large concrete patio that included a covered patio, table and chairs, nice gas grill, a fire pit with two Adirondack chairs. We caught and released some rainbow trout from our site. We also had a Bald Eagle come make a daily appearance across the river. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 6 nights to visit Grand Canyon NP and the Sedona/Flagstaff area. The park is a little under an hour to the South Rim Entrance of GCNP. We had a pull thru site which provided plenty of room for our 5th and truck. This is a well kept facility. The only downside is it is surrounded by train tracks on two sides which are very close. The trains were very active. Most every night and all thru the night the train horns would blow several times so if you are a light sleeper this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, good place within walking distance of downtown Williams, Safeway, and a brewery which is right across the street. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Canyon NP-took us two days to do the South Rim. We did some hiking in the canyon as well. Sedona is a beautiful town worth a visit. Take 89A through the canyon to Sedona-very scenic but not RV friendly.

Mountain View RV Park, Monticello, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Good place to stay for the night. Small RV Park right off the main road just outside of town. Clean and long sites. Our site could have been more level side to side but not too bad. Cable and we were also to get satellite from our site. I would stay here again if passing through. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Orangeland RV Park, Orange, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Great Facility! Clean, well maintained park with a helpful, friendly staff. Asphalt roads and level sites. All or most sites have fruit trees and you may help yourself. We had a pull thru premium site that had plenty of room for our 36ft. 5th wheel and truck. They also let us wash our RV at our site. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Orangeland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Our son is USMC about an hr from here so that is an easy visit for him to come here. The location is ideal-we are following our hometown team-Houston Astros-the stadium is a short walk from here. Sporting venues are less than a mile away. Disneyland is very close by too.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA in a great location in the Sonoma/Napa area. The park is large, very clean and definitely family friendly. We stayed in a premium site which gave us plenty of room for our 36 ft 5th wheel and truck. We had a large concrete patio, patio table with chairs and umbrella and another seating area. Our site was beautifully landscaped as well. They have a nice pool, petting zoo, rock climbing wall and other activities for kids. Free cable and WiFi; our satellite worked from our site. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Yreka RV Park, Yreka, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient location off I-5 on the way to Napa. Our spot was assigned before we arrived. When we got to the park no one was in the office so we went to our spot. It was not level-wheels off the ground on one side after auto level. Requested another site and it was better. Satellite and AT&T work fine here. There was a tree, green grass, and picnic table at our site. Spaces have adequate room between RVs. We camped at Yreka RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Phoenix RV Park, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night on our way to Napa. We got here on Sunday just before 2PM and the office was closed. They left a folder for us with instructions and I picked up a provided registration envelope and put payment in the Dropbox. This park is close to I-5 so very convenient for us. It's super clean, beautifully landscaped, and sites have plenty of room and include a nice picnic table, cement patio, and a stand for your grill. I would definitely stay here again! AT&T and satellite worked from our spot. They have WiFi but I didn't use theirs. We camped at Phoenix RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elwha Dam RV Park, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, privately owned park just outside of Port Angeles and not far from one of the entrances to Olympic NP. Very friendly in the office where I was given an area map and a great list of things to do in the area. We had one of a group of 12 pull thru sites (41-52) that gave us plenty of room for 36' 5th wheel and truck. There are some other pull-throughs that aren't as long or not as easy to get in to. Our satellite worked great from this spot in the park as well. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Olympic NP-Hurricane Ridge (good hiking trails at the visitor's center and fantastic views; Hoh Rain Forest was beautiful. Drive out to Cape Flattery-beautiful! Salt Creek Rec. Area-go at low tide and explore the tide pools; we found sea stars, anemones, small crabs, and a family of 4 otters were swimming right by us. Lake Crescent is a beautiful glacier lake-took a hike and had lunch by the lake. There is a lot to do in the area-grocery stores and Walmart close by if you need to restock the RV.

Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA, Concrete, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This park was fine-more space than usual for a KOA. There are trees that need to be trimmed up. There was no way to avoid branches where our site was. Gravel roads and gravel site pads-pretty level. No satellite because of trees; had AT&T LTE service. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

2 Bar Lazy H RV Park & Campground, Butte, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We just needed a place to sleep on our way to Glacier NP. This park was unkempt and I felt like we were out in a pasture. There are some really old RVs there that are run down and it looks like they people probably live there. Bring a cat with you if you come here-a mouse got in our RV, but my cat took care of business pretty quickly. I'm done! We camped at 2 Bar Lazy H RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night on our way west. The park is just outside of Missoula, MT and close to the interstate but far enough away from traffic noise. This was probably one of the prettiest, well kept parks I've been to yet! They have beautiful flowers planted in beds and pots at each site. There is plenty of room at each spot too. The spruce trees are beautiful and well-trimmed so you can get your RV in easily. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
