Lake George Escape Campground, Diamond Point, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

We had an amazing time at this campground. We had a family reunion here and some of the family stayed in a cabin next door to our site. There are many different sections but ours was quiet and clean with a fishing pond in front of us. We had a hiking trail to schroon river about 100 feet from the site. There are endless activities for the whole family. Campsite is huge so I would recommended a golf cart if you don't have a vehicle. The interstate is nearby so you hear a hum at night but this is the case with many locations in the area due to mountains. Free shuttle to lake George village was easy to use. We will be back next year! We camped at Lake George Escape Campground in a Motorhome.

Byrd's Branch Campground, Elkin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed while passing through town after a chaotic few days in Myrtle Beach. Just what we needed. Peaceful, clean and quiet. Family owned and operated. Only a few spaces with a lot of room and it seemed most were passing through as well. Owners stayed past closing to welcome us and dropped off firewood. Lacks ammeneties so I wouldn't plan to stay for more than a few days unless you are visiting for a specific reason. Would definetly stay again. We camped at Byrd's Branch Campground in a Motorhome.

Pirateland Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it was a good stopping point on our trip to the Adirondacks from Florida and the resort offered many amenities for children. Is located on the beach with easy access. It was a three night minimum stay. Unfortunately, it rained heavily and caused flooding on many of the sites. This is not a good choice if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing campground. Extremely crowded and sites are close together. You will be cozy with all of your neighbors. Kids played mini golf, went to beach, fished in pond, lazy river, pool and water playground. We had fun but it was not for us. Site was dirty and poorly cared for. We camped at Pirateland Family Campground in a Motorhome.
