This campground was most enjoyable to visit. We were along the stream in a good sized site. The site is paved with gravel and is fairly well level. Lots of trees. Easy access to the restroom/showers, etc. The staff is friendly and most helpful. The park is clean and in good repair. The security crew was making rounds to ensure visitors safety. Repair crews also made rounds to ensure sites were well maintained. The store was well stocked with items necessary for camping (such as ice, etc.). Facilities include a play area for kids, a miniature golf course, laundry facility, horse shoes, and large grass area for playing ball, etc. This was our second visit and will obviously be more visits in the future. We highly recommend this campground for and enjoyable camping experience. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Visit the Gettysburg Battlefield and National Cemetery. Shopping and eateries are plentiful.

We visited the Peaceful Woodlands Campground from August 9, 2019 to August 12, 2019. We found this facility to live up to its name... It was quiet and peaceful. Very enjoyable. Our site was easily accessed from the road. It was paved with gravel. It was outfitted with a fire pit, picnic table, and hook-ups (30 amp electrical, water, and sewage). The only problem we had was getting our trailer leveled. Had to pile up some gravel; then roll the left side wheel up on the mound. Trailer still was not leveled, but it was close. The restroom was fairly close, which we used on a regular basis as our teardrop trailer has no bathroom. There is no cable TV, but over-the-air channels were fairly easy to pick up. There are 9 channels available and came in clear once we got the antenna adjusted correctly. We found the WiFi at the campsite to be most disappointing. Logging on was easy, however, the use of the system required opening an account with the provider who in turn would charge a fee for the service. Not real impressed with that setup for the price we paid for the campsite. The Park is nicely located for easy access to local attractions. There is a play yard for kids and cabins available for folks without a trailer. The store is well stocked with items needed for camping in the event one needs them. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and would visit the campground again if we travel to the Poconos in the future. Restaurants and local attractions with in an hour or so of driving. We camped at Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground (formerly WT Family Camping) in a Travel Trailer.

The campground is small, but very cozy. Our site was paved with gravel and it was level. The office is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Very friendly and helpful staff which made us feel welcome to the campground. Chatting with fellow campers was also most enjoyable. Anvil has easy access from the highway; easy access to each site; has a swimming pool, game room, and play yard for the kids. Additionally, Anvil is pet friendly. A GREAT feature is that it in next to an active train line, which was pure entertainment for us to watch the trains go by (both freight and passenger). The check out process was simple. We camped at Anvil Campground in a Travel Trailer.
The folks in the office offered us tickets for all the major attractions in Williamsburg as well as made sure we were to have a good time while visiting. This overall was a very enjoyable visit to Williamsburg and the Anvil Campground.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The space we were assigned was a drive-thru near the restrooms as we requested. The space was clean with the facilities in good repair. There was ample room for our Teardrop Trailer and Jeep. In addition to water, electrical, and cable TV, a picnic table and fire pit were provided. There was ample space for us to erect our canopy. We had very friendly neighbors to which we enjoyed sharing conversation. We used the laundry facilities, which were a short walk away from our site. Lastly, we visited the beach, which again, was a short walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Although the Campground is out in the "wilderness", using a GPS to navigate to shopping and/or restaurants, etc. was extremely easy to get to the activity site and back to North Landing RV Resort. Lastly, the RV Park has events scheduled, places to walk or ride a bike, and a play yard for the kids.

This campground was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! The grounds and equipment are in good repair. The restrooms are clean and maintained with all the necessities. We were assigned a site close to the restroom as per our request. The site was clean; the gravel bed was level. Additionally, there was ample room to park our Jeep so it did not block the roadway. On Thanksgiving, the park provided us with a genuine Thanksgiving Dinner that was excellent in all respects. The staff was friendly and most attentive to our needs, to include helping us find out why our camper did not have heat during the cold nights and also to provide us with suggestions for things to do for the weekend after Thanksgiving. On Sunday morning, they fed us waffles, which tasted GREAT... We plan to stay at this campground the next time we visit the Ashland/Richmond area. We highly recommend a visit to the Americamps RV Park in Ashland, VA for a very pleasant experience. We camped at Americamps RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Lots of things to do within short driving distance from the park. Went to Richmond, Mechanicsville, Cold Harbor, & Williamsburg...

Upon check-in, the staff was most pleasant and gave us a good insight to the rules and regs of the campground. We drove to our assigned camp site and found that everything was not as "nice" as the web site depicts. We found that there was a lot of mud, and mulch debris all over the site. Didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but every time we went into our camper, we dragged this mulch stuff in and it got all over our sheets. We had to constantly sweep out our camper. We were told that all we had to do to re-enter the park was to drive up to the gate, enter our code and drive in when the gate goes up. We left for a bit on Saturday the 28th. When we returned, there was a "gate guard" sitting in a golf cart at the gate. As we slowly drove by, she asked "Can I help you?". I replied "NO THANK YOU" and attempted to get up to the key code unit. She yelled at me to "GET BACK HERE". When I backed up to see what she wanted, she commenced to give me the "3rd Degree" about who we were, were we camping there, etc. She wasn't even nice about it. When I showed her our pass, she opened the gate - I DID NOT NEED HER HELP TO OPEN THE GATE!!! The Restrooms appeared to be neat and clean. However, in the men's side, of six (6) stalls, only two (2) had toilet paper and one of these unit was plugged up with a big nasty looking mess. Went to take a shower and found the privacy door kind of falling off the hinges, to which I had to lift it up to close it. The women's side didn't fare much better. The shower stalls do not have space to leave you dry clothes, or dress without getting wet. Kind of defeats the purpose of taking a shower and putting on dry clothes. Lastly, the rain came. Our site flooded to the point we had no other option but to pack up and leave. Both my wife and I were absolutely soaked by the time we got the camper loaded and on our way. Chesapeake Campground DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS. We WILL NOT visit this camp site again. We camped at Chesapeake Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Go shopping and/or use entertainment off-site. The facilities at the campground are not maintained very well.
