Crown Point Camping Area, Perkinsville, Vermont

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

$51 nightly though we averaged $34 with Passport America discount. W/E30/S/C; The camground is heavily wooded. We had a level dirt site with nice distance between neighboring sites. Location is very convenient as it is just a short distance off I-91. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Crown Point Camping Area in a Motorhome.

Camping on the Battenkill, Arlington, Vermont

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

$39 / night, W/E50/I; The campsite has both wooded and open field sites. We were in an open level grass field site but were uncomfortably close to our neighbors. With our slides open, we were less then 10 feet to where our neighbors were sitting on their site. They offer internet but the signal is poor. We would still stay here again since we are not overly picky but it was a disappointment at this price (Not that this price was overly expensive but we've had much better sites at this price). Just beware. We camped at Camping on the Battenkill in a Motorhome.

Onion River Campground, Plainfield, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

$40 per night but we averaged $33 for a 3 night stay with the Passport America discount. W/E50. This campround is an open grass field beside a little brook with nice spacing between sites. You must cross over a one lane bridge with a 24,000 pound limit to reach the campround. The road by the office and through the campround is awful with deep holes. It appears they have recently installed new water and electric hookups. We stayed here since we were Passport America members and would still stay here again. We camped at Onion River Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain Lake Campground, Lancaster, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

$54 per night but we averaged $35 for our 4 night stay with Passport America discount. W/E50/S/C/I Our campsite was in a wooded area with nice separation between sites and looked straight out at a beautiful lake. The grounds were well maintained and the internet was the strongest and most reliable I have ever had in a campground! Needed a couple blocks to level. This location is convenient to Mt. Washington and other attractions. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Stony Brook Recreation and Camping, Hanover, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

$42 per night but averaged $21 for 3 night stay with Passport America discount. W/E50/S/C/I Open gravel level sites on top of a hill with nice spacing between sites. A nice touch was flower pots hanging a each site's picnic table. Rangeley, Oqossoc, Height of Land all less than 1 hour away and worth the drive! Would definitely stay here again!!! Overall Rating:

$52 / night but we averaged $28 for 4 nights using Passport America. W/E30/I Beautiful level grass site overlooking a lake. Satisfactory open spacing between sites. Downtown Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain only about 20 minutes away. Only downside is that internet access was poor. Would definitlely stay here again!!! Pemaquid Point Campground, New Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

W/E30/I Wonderful wooded sites with great separation between sites. Main reason we chose this campground was easy access to see the Pemaquid Lighthouse 1 mile away but it turned out to be a gem even though it is a little out of the way. Internet access was only in the office area but it was very strong and had a nice place to sit and download my newspaper. Would definitely stay here again!!! We camped at Pemaquid Point Campground in a Motorhome.

W/E50/S/C/I Level, wooded site with OK spacing between sites. Only downside is that internet access was poor. On Rt. 1 allows easy access to the southern Maine coast using I-95. Would definitely stay here again!!! We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. But since they were full in their area for large RV they stuck us over in an area that was not suitable for 37 foot motorhomes. The pathways were extremely narrow and it was incredibly difficult to get into our site due to the numerous trees. Furthermore, our site was so unlevel that despite using multiple blocks we could not level and therefore could not open our slides. They were full and we couldn't get another site. We camped at Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA in a Motorhome.

Surf & Stream Campground, Toms River, New Jersey

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

$60 / night ($30 w/ Passport America) for w/e/s/I/c. We generally don't use campground amenities so price is a big factor of where we choose to stay. I don't care if there are older units on site since I understand everybody has different financial resources. However, I don't understand the extreme reviews for this campground -- either 5 star or 1 star. This campground is mostly permanent residents in older trailers. No problem with that! However, the sites are very cluttered and not at all attractive. During quiet hours there were some dogs barking and some noisy residents but nothing extreme. The individual who greeted us in the office was very nice, escorted us to our site and helped us get parked. Very generous Passport American policy (any days up to 14 nights). We camped at Surf & Stream Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountainview Campground, Milford, New Jersey

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

$38 for w/e. Ground was very wet when we arrived. No road to our site and had to drive up hill through grass to get to it. Spun tires so instead had to drive across hill to make to site. Not at all comfortable as I was concerned about getting stuck or tipping over! Site was recently built, soft and very muddy. Jacks buried in mud and still not level. Owner was nice enough to trim overhanging branches so that we would fit in. Would've cost $15 to dump tanks since we only stayed one night so we did not. Also difficult to get to due to several low underpasses from I-78 to campsite. We camped at Mountainview Campground in a Motorhome.
