Gunter Hill COE, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Large, paved and level sites in Catoma loop. Fairly close to the lake with full hook ups although the lake is not visible for the trees. No issues with popping breakers when running all electrical options. 3 a/c units. No satellite available from this site with our motorhome. A wonderful place except for the need for better upkeep. The grass needed mowing badly, very tall grass. Uncomfortable to walk on tall. The nearby restroom was clean, had plenty of toilet paper but no hand soap. There was a dispenser that was empty. How hard is it to fill the hand soap when adding the toilet paper? Overall, a great place to stay but could be much better with a little maintenance. We camped at Gunter Hill COE in a Motorhome.

Old Federal COE, Flowery Branch, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best COE parks we have stayed in and we have seen many. Lots of large, awesome water front sites that easily handle our 43' motorhome. We did not use the showers but did use the restrooms and they were clean. No way to dry your hands however. This site did not allow for satellite tv because of trees. Many here would work great for satellite. Full hook ups are all that's missing here. Also be aware that upon entering, pull to the side before entering the gatehouse. When I pulled right up to the window, the old gal checking us in apparently thought I was an a##hole and chewed me out. I missed the sign. That's OK, an old biddy won't ruin our time. Our site faced the west for beautiful sunsets and we enjoyed every minute we were here. We'll be back! No alcohol policy here but there is a nice liquor store close by. Be sure to ask the old biddy for directions. lol. We camped at Old Federal COE in a Motorhome.

Ocean Waves Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This was the perfect spot for us to stay for our time in The Outer Banks. We were basically here to sleep. We were out sightseeing the entire 4 nights here. The least expensive place to stay in the area. Our 43 foot motorhome did fit, but was snug. Wifi was good, satellite worked. Cable TV available if needed. Beach access here but we did not use it. I would return. We camped at Ocean Waves Campground in a Motorhome.
