Beard's Bluff COE, Ashdown, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

First off, do not go here if you want to do anything at the lake besides fish. Alligator warnings state no swimming or wading. Very peaceful. Disappointed with facilities. We camped at Beard's Bluff COE in a Travel Trailer.

Blue Water Bayou restaurant has great food. Need to pay for a membership to buy alcohol as this is a dry county.

Greenbrier Campground (formerly Greenbrier Island), Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Fun for all kids. Beautiful wooded area with tree coverage for most sites. Majority of sites are along a creek/river. Nice little beach. Tubes for the river are for purchase only or bring your own. Great shower facilities. Dog area very small but plenty of places to walk them with several dog waste stations. Dogs welcome in water. Lots of people activity but not in a bothersome way. We camped at Greenbrier Campground (formerly Greenbrier Island) in a Travel Trailer.

Village Creek State Park, Wynne, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Was very hot and muggy, so we did not see as much as we would have liked. Site 51 is easy back in and generally good. T-Mobile signal not existent. Loose, small crushed rock around pad not so great. Boat ramp nearby drive and good kayak lake (no gas motors). Sites do not have direct water access. Beach was washed out, but the lake was still enjoyable in the very small swimming area. Quiet and peaceful. We camped at Village Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Iron Mountain Recreation Area COE, Arkadelphia, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with lots of tree cover. We enjoyed our stay but should have used a different spot than what we reserved. Spot 45 is on the interior of a loop and very difficult to back in a 33' trailer. The folks across the way had to move their vehicles to provide enough room. Had to disconnect trailer from truck in order to fit in site. We hiked the yellow trail and had some issues with a trailhead that was not well marked and not present at the road (D). Water was quite distant from our site and unreachable by our hose. The men's shower in our area had a foul smell. Very good value for the price. No spots appear to have direct lake access. Some spots are level but this one is not. We camped at Iron Mountain Recreation Area COE in a Travel Trailer.
