Pennsylvania state parks really are hidden gems. Stayed 4 days over Labor Day. Very quiet campground. Sites are nicely spaced but larger rigs may have issues on some sites. Lots of tents and pop-ups. Lots of hiking, biking, kayaking/canoeing, swimming. Bath houses were some of the best I have ever seen. Great place for families. No water or sewer but water spigots are usually close by and there is a dump station with room for 2 rigs. No cell service on Sprint. We camped at Cowans Gap State Park in a Travel Trailer.
If you like the "camp" in your camping with plenty of outdoors, campfires and night bugs this is your kind of place. Turn off your gadgets and get outside !! Oh, and stop at the Milky Way restaurant in Fort Loudon on your way in and out. Good food at a good price and lots of room for camping rigs to park.
