Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA, Doswell, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here during a hurricane evacuation from Virginia Beach. The park was almost empty. So, it was very quiet. The weather was nice so we stayed 2 nights. Bring extra long connections. The hookups are in the center. We camped at Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA in a Motorhome.

Virginia Beach KOA, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $91.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, friendly park. Nice employees. We had power spikes which kept blowing our fuses, but the moved us to a new site. We didn't go to the new site because a hurricane was on it's way and we just decided it wasn't worth it. The man that showed us to our site showed me where the sewer was. Well, it was not really a sewer hole. I don't know what it was. When unhooking, I noticed the overflow and a different sewer hole (the right one). So we had to move a full hose over 6 feet. Yuk! We didn't stay the full 5 days because a hurricane was on the way. They were very friendly about canceling and refunding the rest of our stay. Very nice people. We camped at Virginia Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Ramblin' Pines Campground, Woodbine, Maryland

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

I was a bit disappointed that the campground map from the park is not the same as the park itself. My site had another trailer just off the back. But I was glad he was there, he helped me hookup because the water hookup is down inside a well. The site was not level which made it hard for us (our hydraulics broke). And the "pad" was not long enough for us (37 ft). We left after the first night (we had reservations for 2 nights). It had rained and the "well" filled with water. I also had to stand, kneel, and sit in a lake to disconnect. Other than that, it was a nice park and the owners were nice. We just had one of those bad times. Keep your fingers crossed and check the site before you commit. We camped at Ramblin' Pines Campground in a Motorhome.
