Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA, Littleton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights. Negative remarks: no cell service; cable tv you needed a box, which they supplied, but we have built-ins, so, it was no use to us; traffic noise 24/7, less than 100 yards from Rte 302, we sat outside for 1 day but too many caterpillars dropped on us out of the trees; woman in the store was grumpy but nice when you checked in; weak wi-fi signal; the sites were close together, all the new comers were put next to us, not very many camps. Positive remarks: nice and shady; picturesque stream close to us; 2 dog walks; many activities for adults and children; they picked up your garbage daily if you put it out at the road; an escort to your site and the gentleman was very nice and offered to help set up. He also helped guide me out so that I would clear the branches. He even screwed my hose on tighter than I could, he greeted you every time he passed you on his rounds; very nice and well stocked camp store; nice lounge and patio attached to the store; We will probably not return because the negatives out way the positives. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

Rip Van Winkle Campground, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed over Fathers Day weekend. We had site #9. It was a pull thru for our 38 foot Class A. This is a beautiful campground. Lots of trees and spacious sites. Our only problem was that they advertised WiFi. It basically did not exist. We also could not get any TV signal. The host came around and checked the cable hookup and told us that it is a digital signal and would not work on our analog TV. This is the first campground where the cable did not work. Since it rained all of one day. It would have been nice to watch some TV. My dog and I walked to the park store everyday. We had very nice walks. I wish I liked swimming. The pool looked very inviting. They also had movies Saturday night and hay rides during the day. The wagon went right by our RV. It was fun waving at the kids. All in all, I think I would stay here again. We camped at Rip Van Winkle Campground in a Motorhome.

Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA, Doswell, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here during a hurricane evacuation from Virginia Beach. The park was almost empty. So, it was very quiet. The weather was nice so we stayed 2 nights. Bring extra long connections. The hookups are in the center. We camped at Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA in a Motorhome.

Virginia Beach KOA, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $91.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, friendly park. Nice employees. We had power spikes which kept blowing our fuses, but the moved us to a new site. We didn't go to the new site because a hurricane was on it's way and we just decided it wasn't worth it. The man that showed us to our site showed me where the sewer was. Well, it was not really a sewer hole. I don't know what it was. When unhooking, I noticed the overflow and a different sewer hole (the right one). So we had to move a full hose over 6 feet. Yuk! We didn't stay the full 5 days because a hurricane was on the way. They were very friendly about canceling and refunding the rest of our stay. Very nice people. We camped at Virginia Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Ramblin' Pines Campground, Woodbine, Maryland

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

I was a bit disappointed that the campground map from the park is not the same as the park itself. My site had another trailer just off the back. But I was glad he was there, he helped me hookup because the water hookup is down inside a well. The site was not level which made it hard for us (our hydraulics broke). And the "pad" was not long enough for us (37 ft). We left after the first night (we had reservations for 2 nights). It had rained and the "well" filled with water. I also had to stand, kneel, and sit in a lake to disconnect. Other than that, it was a nice park and the owners were nice. We just had one of those bad times. Keep your fingers crossed and check the site before you commit. We camped at Ramblin' Pines Campground in a Motorhome.
