Miami RV Park, Miami, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed from November 5th through January 5th. The good: Good sized spots Excellent monthly rate Everything you need is within a 10 minute drive Friendly managers Free lunch on Wednesdays Good sized washers and dryers The bad: A few of the spots collect water around the services Sewer is at or below grade, making hookup a little difficult Free WiFi is limited to near the office (but they are improving) I'm from the area and this park has developed leaps and bounds in the past few years. We camped at Miami RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver Lake Hide A Way Campground & RV Park, Rogers, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The park is beautiful and tucked out of the way on Beaver lake. We were there for the turning of the leaves and were not disappointed. Pros: Quiet solitude, Beautiful scenery Cons: No wifi, Cell coverage poor for anything except the big 2, People don't pick up after their pets (not a fault of the park) We camped at Beaver Lake Hide A Way Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Hill Mobile Home Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 30 days. The monthly rate was almost the same as we paid in OKC. We didn't have cable here and the wifi was not great. It didn't even work the first week and when it did come back on line we found we were limited to one device at a time and the speed was pretty bad. They only mowed the grass once while we were here and the mosquitos were so bad we couldn't even sit outside in the evening. When we reserved the site we were told it was a pull-through, but it was not. If you are unsteady on your feet, you have to be very careful as there seems to be a mole infestation and there are piles of dirt and soft spots everywhere. There is a sewage treatment facility nearby, so if the mosquitoes didn't keep you indoors, the smell would. This isn't a fault of the park, but definitely worth noting. We camped at Cherry Hill Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Tulsa is a great place to go with lots of new and interesting restaurants. Also, definitely check out the newly opened Gathering Place. It is the 2nd largest park in the US, after Central Park in NYC.

Council Road RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Our first stay in an RV park...EVER. Cable and wifi superb. I work remotely and require a good internet connection. I was prepared to use my cellular hotspot, but had zero issue with the park's FREE WiFi. Despite being located right of I-40, the park was quiet and nicely located within minutes of just about anything you want. This is a "working man's" park and many/most of the residents are pipeline or oilfield employees. Everyone was friendly. We stayed in a 40' Fifth Wheel. My site was just long enough for my RV, but not long enough to also accommodate my tow vehicle. I am 62' overall, but parking sideways in front of the RV near the road was not an issue. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

1) The TA Truck stop nearby has a good restaurant inside and is in easy walking distance. 2) Getting out to I-40 during morning or evening rush is not a pleasant experience at all.
