Holiday Harbor, Acworth, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Marina first, campground second, we do not own a boat. We stayed in site 16. The pros - our site was shady up on a hill so nice breeze and view of harbor and lake. The cons - Our site had water connection 23 feet on one side (hose ran thru the picnic table area) and electric 24 feet on the other side. The bath house was not very clean, it did not have TP two mornings in a row and one of the shower stalls seemed temperamental with hot water. The single Dump station had no clean water for back-flushing the black tank, also very tight turning area. Would we stay again - at $47/night (tax and fee include) - maybe, at a different site. For us, there are better options nearby. This is a Marina, so if you have a RV and a Boat, you may like this place. We camped at Holiday Harbor in a Travel Trailer.

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise - best Sushi we ever had, outstanding homemade Brownie Ice-cream Sunday.

Stony Fork Campground, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

There are three nightly rates, $6 no hook up, $12 electric, $16 water & electric - we used an America the Beautiful pass but did not get 50% off, don't know why. We camped at Stony Fork Campground in a Truck Camper.

Woodford State Park, Woodford, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

For $20 per night - no water, electric or sewer at site. Gravel road and uneven gravel sites also very close together. Bath had only cold water sink, no way to dry hands, shower was pay as needed - $1.25 for 12 min. We stayed there because to use the RV Dump was $15, highest cost to dump we have seen. Restricted hours to run generator, 4-6 pm and 8-10 am. We have stayed in State Parks in other states, cost varies depending on state but this was the most money for the least. We camped at Woodford State Park in a Truck Camper.
