Longview North / Mount St Helens KOA, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice KOA near Mt St Helens just 1 hr north of Portland. Facilities and sites were clean and staff was friendly. A short drive from the highway but far enough away so you can't hear it. Was our first KOA campground and enjoyed our stay here! We camped at Longview North / Mount St Helens KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of our favorite Thousand Trails locations so far (and we've been to quite a few over the US during the past 6 months). While there was still some snow on the ground and most of the facility was dormant for the off-season the staff was extremely friendly and we love the Bend / Sunriver area! If it's this nice in April, we'd love to see it in the summertime when everything is open. The only drawback is the lack of sewer hookup, but if you're prepared this is a wonderful park! Bend (the south part of town) is just 20 min away (north side 35min) and has everything you need. Such a great town! We camped at Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Owner was very friendly, park was clean and price was right! Only complaint was the parks proximity to the nearby train tracks. We camped at Green Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Minden RV Resort - Thousand Trails, Nicolaus, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

What is the park where at in facilities in cleanliness it made up for with its beautiful lake. The highlight of our 2 week stay here were the boys fishing and evening walks around the lake! We stayed in the back “D” section (no sewer hookup) of the park so we used the bathroom as much as possible. While one could classify the bathroom as “clean” it was dated and seemed to always smell a bit (probably due to the dump station being 40’ away? Bottom line: we’d definitely return. We loved the lake and the no sewer / bathrooms were very manageable. We camped at Lake Minden RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Rio Viento RV Park, Rio Vista, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay here! The park was very quiet and clean. The 2 mile access road is really rough but don't let that deter you. Be prepared to pay the $6 one-way bridge toll to get groceries in Antioch. We camped at Rio Viento RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Thousand Trails / Morgan Hill RV Resort, Morgan Hill, California

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Park was ok, but not sure I'd go back if given the choice. No sewer hookups and some strange rules. We were told no foil insulation on windows allowed on our trailer (relatively new) but saw many old unsightly RVs in the park? We camped at Thousand Trails / Morgan Hill RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

After staying in more urban RV parks for the last couple months Sequoia RV Ranch was a breath of fresh air! Remote location but near to Sequoia National Park. Small river running next to the campground is really nice. Like others have mentioned ATT cellular service is good but Verizon is sketchy. I had no more than 1 bar for the duration of my stay, but even that was enough to stream an occasional video and make a few calls. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Soledad Canyon Park / Thousand Trails, Acton, California

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Mixed feelings about Soledad canyon RV Park. While we buoyed our time in the Acton area (visiting Los Angeles) the park was just ok. There are a few nice areas within this huge park but due to our need for a reliable Verizon/AT&T cellar connection we were limited to the “N” area. Unfortunately this section of the park is low on view and crowded (even in February). Speaker (P.A. system) noise from a neighboring rehab center and a dog kennel can be heard (luckily not too bad inside the RV). Staff was nice and we felt safe, just feels a bit run down and forgotten. We’d stay again if necessary but wouldn’t go out of our way. We camped at Soledad Canyon Park / Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Sweetwater Summit Regional Park, Bonita, California

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I’ll preface busy stating that we camped on the South Loop without knowing about the stark difference between the two. Had we camped on the North Loop I’m sure my review would have been glowing. We walked the North loop each evening wishing we were there instead of the South where things appear to have been neglected a bit. It wasn’t a total bust given the decent rate we got but in retrospect I’d pay the higher rate for the newer North side. We camped at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oakzanita Springs, Descanso, California

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Loved the remote location of the park while still being within an hour to everything in San Diego. Our 32’ trailer was really tight (roads and hills) but doable. We stayed in the non-sewer section but the restrooms were clean with really hot showers). Enjoyed our stay here! We camped at Oakzanita Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Valley Vista RV Resort, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our time in Benson at Valley Vista. While it wasn't anything to write home about the basic points were checked and we would return if ever in the area again. Clean facilities and pool, decent spaced sites, quiet (save the occasional train) and friendly staff. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Spring River RV Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed a couple nights on our trip from Texas to Arizona but we had no complaints. The park was clean and management friendly. Yes there we heard a couple of the dogs others mentioned but it wasn't enough to be annoying. Was a clean comfortable park to stay at while traveling through the area. Lake Conroe RV & Camping Resort / Thousand Trails, Willis, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite Thousand Trails resorts! Loved the recreation area and we couldn't keep the kids away from the pool and playground. Clean facilities and everyone was so very friendly. Resort is large so we enjoyed our evening walks around the park and down to the lake. We will definitely be returning!
