Sonoma County Fair Grounds, Santa Rosa, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We decided to take our RV (28 ft. Airstream - no slideouts) instead of getting a hotel for a recent Sonoma music festival and I booked here without doing much research. We've stayed at both the Napa and Calistoga (also Fairground) RV parks so thought this would be similar - their pics on website looked okay. If you have a larger RV this place has few spaces to accommodate you ... FEMA has taken over the bulk of the spaces and the park has cut the spaces in half ..we couldn't even get into our original space - had to get a different one and then our truck had to park in what would have normally been our outdoor living space. It's very basic - gravel spaces - no bbq or picnic table .. only 30 amp available in most spaces. The wifi wasn't working and there's no cable - we didn't receive the restroom codes so no clue if they were clean or not. Some roadways were blocked by too large for the space RV's which wasn't safe. It's okay for a quick stop but not if you want a normal RV park experience. The woman at check in was fine but one of the other workers was very unhelpful and flat out lied to me when I mentioned the spaces had been cut in half. We'll stay in Napa next time... their parks are both good! We camped at Sonoma County Fair Grounds in a Travel Trailer.
