San Bernardino Natl Forest/Dogwood Campground, Rimforest, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We actually stayed here in the months of July, August and September. We adore this National Forest Campground. The sights themselves are spacious. However, not all the pads are and many are not very level. We tried different areas in the hookups and found several that we feel suit our needs. Most of our camping was from Monday to Friday noon. With school being out, the campground was quite busy. On weekends just about every spot in the park is reserved so I recommend going to to either make reservations or see what might be available. There is a 2.8 mile hiking trail and a couple of shorter trails. The restrooms and showers are almost always clean and stocked. Each site has a very large picnic table and a fire ring. You can buy firewood at the check-in booth or at the camp host's sites. The roads throughout the park are a little narrow which could make it difficult for some bigger rigs. Many of the sites have length restrictions so I would advise checking either the website or call the park to make sure your rig will fit. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Lake Gregory and Lake Arrowhead are close by. This is our go-to place to beat the summer heat. We camped at San Bernardino Natl Forest/Dogwood Campground in a Motorhome.
