Cecil Bay RV Park, Cecil, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Right off of I 75. Some road noise, but not bad. Sites are larger than normal, plenty of spacing between you and your neighbor. During the day, could hear what sounded like drag racing going on. Found out there was a racing track near by and a drag racing meet was going on. I'd of gone if I of known ahead of time. We camped at Cecil Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Greenwood State Recreation Area, Ninety Six, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in Campground 1. Beautiful and quiet setting, facilities were clean. Ran into the camp host as they were cleaning. Very picturesque setting. My cousin, who lives in the area, says the fishing in the lake is pretty good, too. We camped at Lake Greenwood State Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Kings Creek RV Campground (Military FamCamp), Cheatham Annex Naval Station, Virginia

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park was clean and well kept, don't understand derogatory comments to the contrary from Aug 2018. Camp Host was very helpful and saw them cleaning the restrooms/shower/laundry facilities. As for the poor wifi and poor cell reception, depends on where in the camp you're parked. There is a maintenance building near the entrance and the shower/restroom/laundry facility at the other end. Wifi signal is good near either of these locations. Towards the center of the site, not so much. However, the brochure provided at check in warns that the wifi can be spotty. Cell reception is better near the entrance. The further back you are, it becomes no signal. But, this is in a nature setting. Who cares about that stuff - go enjoy the natural surroundings! Disconnect! There are several nature trails, several lakes with fishing spots and near the check in office is a beautiful view of the York River. Go see Yorktown, Jamestown or Colonial Williamsburg, just minutes away. We camped at Kings Creek RV Campground (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Angler's RV Campground (formerly Rainbow Country RV Campground), Cedar Key, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

For a park with the owner on site, this park is not very well maintained. The pool filter system was constantly running, but the water was green and debris hadn't been cleaned out in a while. I admit is was too cool to take a dip, but this was bad. The park had a central TV antenna with a hook up at each spot, but it didn't work (neither mine or my neighbor). When I dumped my waste water, it backed up and over flowed at both my spot and my neighbor. I told the office about it, but they made some excuse that the dump for these 2 sites wasn't vented properly, so we shouldn't dump all at once, but slowly. Really? They didn't say a word about this when I checked in. Their web site and brochure advertise that the park is "gated". Well, the entrance gate is missing - probably inoperative. However, the "exit" gate works fine. The trash bins were overflowing, but didn't inquire as to why. Based on the "toys" I saw at the owners place, I guess this owner spends his time and money on his hobbies and toys, not on taking care of his business. This could be a really nice place. Each site supposedly had patio, picnic table and fire ring. Ours didn't have a fire ring. If the RV resort across the street (and I mean literally across the street) had vacancy, I'd have moved. Place across the street was much nicer and properly maintained. We camped at Angler's RV Campground (formerly Rainbow Country RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort, Lutz, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Was OK for a few nights. Most of the place is long term residents. Pool area was nice, looked relatively new. Parking pad was grass with a small concrete pad to setup table & chairs. Stipulated that you not park on the pad as the RV weight would break the pad and you'd be responsible for the repairs. This had happened to the spot where we parked, but the pad had NOT been repaired. We camped at Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort in a Motorhome.
