Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Well manicured sites, attractive landscaping, very clean. Great stop on I 40. Not a lot to do in the park, but very pleasant overall. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, Chama, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely spacious sites, well maintained facilities. Riverside sites have more useful hookup layouts for big rigs, but other types can manage. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very poorly laid out park. Roads are narrow, gravel, and sites are arranged "helter skelter". Only about 10 sites have hookups, and they are located in unorthodox positions. Better have a water splitter and 50 to 30 amp plug as you will have to tinker to get hooked up and hope your neighbors are congenial as there is little privacy. Pull thru with 6 electric boxes and one water spigot. Odd sewer position. Big rigs stay away! You can get stuck in the Welcome Center parking lot as well as the campground's nooks and crannies. This campground is OK for tents and very small rigs. There are other campgrounds in the area that are a fraction of the cost of Ghost Ranch. The whole area is gorgeous scenery and worth a visit. We camped at Ghost Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Ranch has a small natural history museum and lots of hiking trails. There are very limited food options - not any at some times. Great place for a picnic.
