Belden Hill Campground, Harpursville, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

After 2 short trial trips, this was our first real trip, going from Ohio to Maine. Our first weekend was a stop at Belden. Lo and behold, my husband drove off with our power cord still attached, which we noticed about 300 miles into the trip. So we arrived without one. I wish I could say his name, but the Manager went above and beyond for several hours, seeking all resources to find one for us. Being the weekend, all the RV places nearby were closed until Monday. That evening, he phoned to say he'd found one! Absolutely amazing! He was relentless in his quest to help us out. But it doesn't end there.....on our last day as we prepare to leave, we are loading the toad and run OVER the front of the tow dolly, completely disabling any movement, either by the car or the motorhome at this point. Again, the Mgr goes to great lengths to provide jacks, blocks, and whatever else was required to lift the front of the car enough to back it off the dolly and do it correctly. Hours on end this great man spent to take care of us. He certainly could've just been invisible, or unavailable, as other parks do. Yes, we found out that is pretty much the norm. Once you are checked in, you're on your own. Not so at Belden. It's a beautiful place, operated by a very kind soul. When we are ever even close to this area we would go out of our way to go back - although he may not ever want to see us again!!! LOL. I wish there was a higher rating as he certainly deserves it. We camped at Belden Hill Campground in a Motorhome.
