Blue Lake Resort Campground, Churubusco, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a month at this RV park. Park is pretty crammed together. Our site had no grass, just dirt and dried up low spots that are mud puddles every time it rains. Quiet hours were not enforced. Our neighbor across the road was the party site for the park it seems. Loud get togethers every weekend night as late as 2:30-3:00 a.m. Park wasn't too bad for quiet most week day nights. Facilities are rundown and not well maintained. Was not a very friendly crowd. We would come back to our site and have neighbors visitors parked in our "yard" and couldn't park ourselves until we tracked them down to move. Had a yard of golf carts packed in our site who were playing corn hole in an empty site next to ours. The main customers here are seasonal and we were mostly treated as unwelcome outsiders. When we checked out, they didn't ask how our stay was or thank us, all she said was come back again... Uhhhh no way. Cost was affordable, only $495 a month plus electric. Our electric for the month, mainly running A/Cs was $130 for the month, more that I paid in my home. Visitors have to pay $3 per person for a day or $6 for an overnight. When my family would come over to visit and not use any of the parks rundown "amenities", same price. Water is rusty and hard as a rock, bring a filter system and softener. I will not visit again. We camped at Blue Lake Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Archuleta RV Park, Blanco, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Went to this RV Park because of location on the river to be able to easily go fishing. First day fished and later ran into the owner/operator who was cleaning up cow patties. She complained about neighbors cows and said they were going to fence off the river with electric fence to keep cows out. Asked how we were going to fish and response was to fish from the neighbor's property. It was too cumbersome to go to the neighbor's property to fish. Electric fence went up, but didn't keep the cows out. Heard cow bell ringing all night which was tolerable. What wasn't tolerable was the attitude of ownership and the fence keeping us from easy fishing. Owner seemed a little over protective of the grass in the park. Only had 30 amp service, but that was ok since it was cool time of year. Would not have been able to run both A/C's if it were hot summer days. Ownership seemed to be a little picky to deal with. I will not stay there again, but this just me. No fires or charcoal grills, bummer. Not allowed to park in the site, have to park away in the dirt. Water pressure was real low. We camped at Archuleta RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
