Pocono Vacation Park, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly seasonals, but good for an overnight if not crowded. We did not find staff over friendly. We followed Trailer Life's directions by going in Bus. 209, better to come in off regular 209. We were in one of the Sparrow sites and could barely pick up WiFi. We camped at Pocono Vacation Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We did not like this campground. We agree with the previous reviewer who reported it was difficult to negotiate around the many trees. It is extremely hilly. We ended up with a site with no sewer or cable. The dump station is in a very inconvenient spot, blocking the entrance/exit and if you dump when going in, you are tilted. The WiFi worked well when it worked, but it did cut out here and there. The place is clean and very nice for small rigs and families and people who like lots of trees and don't want to see the sky. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Apple Campground, Arundel, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said, this is an extremely well-maintained park. We would have given it a 10, except we were in a VERY tight back-in with trees around, making it tough to maneuver our 35' 5th wheel. The most upsetting, was the $40 fee which at our site did NOT include sewer or cable. Not having sewer at a site for $40 is ridiculous. However, Kennebunkport is a beautiful area and apparently they can command the fee. We would have stayed longer than 2 nights if we had a sewer and a lower rent. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Westcott Beach State Park, Sackets Harbor, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a state park with no amenities except extra large grassy sites and scenery. We were up on the "plateau" area which did not allow pets. The main campground is across the road on Lake Ontario. We camped at Westcott Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Maple Lane RV Park, Cuba, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, quiet park in the foothills of the Alleghenies. We enjoyed the view of the small mountains surrounding us. Laundry room was very, very clean but only 3 washers/dryers. Good interior gravel roads and gravel sites with grass in between. The host was very friendly, even allowing me to pick a fresh tomato from the garden. The town of Cuba is quaint with a couple good restaurants and a great cheese shop. A nice stopover to rest for a few days. We camped at Maple Lane RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

American Wilderness Campground, Grafton, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The site we had way in the back was unlevel, soft and muddy. The road and pad area consisted of 2-3" rocks instead of fine gravel. Our site was difficult egress/ingress. Interior rock roads rattled our teeth. Large mud hole around dump site. We thought the price was ridiculous for what we got. We camped at American Wilderness Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a Passport America park that we use a lot enroute from north to south. It is very nice with fantastic WiFi. Plenty of grassy room between the gravel sites. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hospitality Woods RV Park, Ellsworth, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A nice quiet park. We had a pull thru which was fairly level. Not perfect, but not bad. We also thought the water pressure was so-so. The WiFi for me worked great. The potholes in the entrance/exit road were horrible. When we were here, the owner was only around part-time, very difficult to contact. We camped at Hospitality Woods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
