Pine Cone Resort, Freehold, New Jersey

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Pine Cone because we had to be in NJ & it was the closest to our family. This place should not be able to call itself a resort. Dirt & sand roads & sites, potholes & puddles all over to get around. Trees & shrubs not trimmed to accommodate a 45' bus. Tight turns to get to site with trees in the way. Scraped the awning of the bus on one of the trees. Getting out of the site was no picnic either. I had to hold back tree branches so that my husband could make a wide turn to get out. Most people in the "resort" live there permanently with sites that look exactly like that. Site was small with a tree close to door, no room to move around. Site was not long enough or wide enough. They should not tell you that they can fit a 45' bus, if they can't. We had to stay for 18 days & we could not wait to leave. It was $350/wk. We have stayed for an entire month in other campgrounds for what we paid for 18 days here. Never again unless they do some major work there. We stayed off season so the pool was already closed for the winter. Camp store was satisfactory, nothing special. Tennis court look old & not maintained. We did not use the showers or laundry. We camped at Pine Cone Resort in a Motorhome.
