Los Banos West / I-5 KOA , Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: November, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

I booked this park for an overnight stay as we headed to Southern California. I typically believe that you could count on a minimum acceptable standard from a campground affiliated with KOA. Apparently not in the case of this campground. The first words out of my mouth were dust bowl dump. This campground is nothing more than a dirt field with hookups. The only spaces occupied were from residents that looked more homeless than full timers. Don't stay here. There is a rest area in both directions on the interstate that would be a better overnight parking place. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Hoquiam River RV Park, Hoquiam, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for 3 nights to finish touring Olympic National Park. The city of Holquiam is dingy so we didn't venture out to much. This is an ok stop over park, the check in was easy and they have baked goodies for guests. Lots of folks living here full-time or long term most 20 year or older trailers. The sites are situated in a big parking lot so there is no privacy. It is advertised as having grass at each site, but you get weeds. The tent areas (along the river) have fie pits, but the RV's have to use a large communal fire pit... kind-a of strange. . WIFI is weak at best. I would not camp here again.... We camped at Hoquiam River RV Park in a Motorhome. We camped at Hoquiam River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Forks 101 RV Park, Forks, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Do not stay at this park, it's nothing but a shanty town. View is a bunch of single wide trailers. It's nothing but a place to sleep when your seeing the sights of the Olympic Peninsula. Would not stay here again. We camped at Forks 101 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seattle / Tacoma KOA, Kent, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

This is the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. The only thing I can say is "this is a dump". By the looks of it this is a very old KOA. The entrance is somewhat narrow. The sites are extremely tight, and junk RVs decorate the front entrance where you are suppose to register. This IS NOT a park for big rigs. We have a 44' class A and could barely make it through the streets and into our spot. We could not put our awnings out as the site we were assigned was to narrow. Thank goodness I only wasted one day here. Bottom line, we will not come back to this park. On the positive side, the manager who checked us in was very nice and friendly. We camped at Seattle / Tacoma KOA in a Motorhome.

Vines RV Resort, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Vines while traveling north on 101. We very much enjoyed our stay. We had site 86 and did not have to unhook our tow. The Vines is very clean and organized with good amenities. Nice pool and hot tub area. Other reviewers complained about the road noise due to close proximity to Hwy 101, personally we did not hear a thing. Staff was helpful and excellent to work with. Dog park was small but served it's purpose. Seems like several long term folks are in the park but it is kept clean and tidy. We would go back again! We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.
