Mile 0 Park & Campground, Dawson Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a few days before heading up the Alaska Highway. Our pull through site as narrow and had to use extra blocks to level, not really a big issue. Staff was very friendly and informative about the area and was able to provide a copy of "Mile Post" a very valuable book for traveling along the AlCan. There is a very informative historical village attached, was actually pleasantly surprised to find a book containing family information. There are many services available throughout the town if one needs any kind of supplies. We camped at Mile 0 Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Toad River Lodge & RV Park, Toad River, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest stops along the Alaska Highway. Check in is done in the restaurant/gift shop/gas bar so can sometimes take a while, but who cares, we are on vacation. Staff was extremely pleasant and food in restaurant was good, however portions left no room for dessert.(LOL) Our site was a long level pull through, did not have to unhook tow from coach. Pull through sites were a little close but very manageable. The surroundings are what made our stay so great. Sitting on a bench watching moose feed, trumpeter swans teaching their young how to fly. At dusk elk came into a meadow on the far side. In the morning before leaving we took our coffee down to the same bench for a rerun of the evening show. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for a great relaxing stay. We camped at Toad River Lodge & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Frontier Bar & Campground, Saxon, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight on our way to Alaska. Lots of room for our RV and tow car. Check in is done in a bar/restaurant which was kind of fun, wife had to come and see what was taking so long to check in. They had a nice fish fry that night which made it an easy choice for dinner. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Frontier Bar & Campground in a Motorhome.
