Vanderpool Campground, Vilas, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Close to Boone. Small, older campground. Independent operator. They don’t take credit cards so bring cash or check. Extra $3/day for any person more than two. Owner was friendly and helpful, lives onsite. We were here during a snowstorm and had no problems. Will check it out again next time we are in the area. We camped at Vanderpool Campground in a Travel Trailer.

New River State Park, Laurel Springs, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

So quiet and peaceful. Only 20 spots, and only some have full hookups. Others have just electricity. We camped at New River State Park in a Travel Trailer.
