Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said, the sites are close together (at least in the section we stayed in.)...our neighbor's grill was just about under our slideout. The sites are also deceptively unlevel....we saw several rigs with wheels off the ground. We had to use several boards to level. The utilities worked well. The interior roads are navigable for the most part, but departure may be tight depending in your site. Cedar City is a nice central location for seeing several national parks and monuments, and the city has all the conveniences you will need. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Motorhome.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground to stay in while visiting Bryce Canyon NP. It is only about a mile from the park's entrance, and there is a shuttle that stops at the campground that takes you to the park (and all thru it) if you do not want to drive. (You need to have a NP pass or ticket to board the bus....those are sold right near the shuttle stop if you need it.) We stayed in the big rig section, and the sites are HUGE, with wide streets.....very easy access. Utilities worked as they should and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend! We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Stock up on groceries before coming here....although groceries are available, the prices are outrageous. Everything is quite pricey here.

Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA , Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a week here visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. This campground was a great base spot for that. The roads are a bit tight for a 40-footer. Our escort led us down the wrong road to our site and we had to adjust several times to fet into a pull-thru. The utilities worked well, and the town if Montrose has everything you would need. We tried to get the propane cylinder for our grill refilled, and the gentleman doing it had problems doing it for us. Crowded on weekends, quieter during the week, but that us typical. We would stay here again. We camped at Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a stunningly beautiful campground. (The price shown reflects $41 for the site and $8 park pass per day.) We stayed at one of the sites higher up the hill, and we had gorgeous views of Colorado Springs below. The full utilities all worked well, we had a decent Verizon signal and clear shot of the sky for satellite. Our site also had a tent pad with tie down rings. Shopping and other conveniences are just a few minutes away. Seems very popular, so reserve ahead of time. Highly recommend! We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

Cuivre River State Park, Troy, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the full hookup section. The road in to the park was quite windy, and the entrance gate quite tight for our 40-footer with toad (we took the northern entrance off of Walker.....reviews we had read advised going this way). Once inside the park, the roads are navigable. Our hookups worked fine, and we had a good shot of the sky from our site. We needed to use a few boards for leveling, but overall not too unlevel. The Verizon signal was a bit weak, so we used our booster, and that really helped. We camped at Cuivre River State Park in a Motorhome.

Taylorsville Lake State Park Campground, Taylorsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We love state parks, and this one was quite nice. Our site (#33) had water and electric and those worked well. We had a clear shot of the sky for our roof-mounted satellite. Our Verizon signal was quite wonky, so we added to use our booster. It is a good spot to use as a base camp for seeing the sights in Louisville and Frankfort. NOTE: When making reservations, it shows that site 33 only has 30 amp electric.....there is BOTH 30 and 50 amp electric at this site. We camped at Taylorsville Lake State Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This a wonderful park to use as a central base for area attractions. The gentleman who greeted us in the office was very friendly and escorted us to our site. The park is laid out very well, and beautifully landscaped. Pride of ownership is very evident. The utilities worked as they should and the wifi is awesome! There are stores and restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this park and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Davis Lake Campground, Houlka, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. The voltage at our site (#14) was a bit low, but our autoformer took care of that. Water pressure was good and the camp host was very nice. Our site was pretty shaded, but our portable satellite could see the sky. Site 14 has one of the nicest, if not THE nicest, patios in the park. Our Verizon signal was a bit wonky, and we used a booster to help with that. 30 min drive to Tupelo, but there are grocery stores and restaurants closer by in Houlka and Houston. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Davis Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time to the Reno area, and we picked a great place to stay! The RV park has a very park-like setting with grass and trees, a great heated pool and hot tub, with long sites and ample space in between. The utilities worked well, and our Verizon service was smoking fast. The staff is nice, and the casino was very generous in their offers of 2 for 1 dinners, which were delicious. (We got coupons at check in, and also won a BOGO dinner!) We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an additional week. Highly recommend. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Lassen West Village, Westwood, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a week as a base location to visit Lassen Volcanic NP. Being that this park was (and still partially is) a mobile home park, the sites are HUGE! There are a lot of trees here but were able to get satellite with our portable satellite. The utilities worked as they should. Trains do go by very close to the campground overnight, and are pretty loud, but we fall right back to sleep. The owner checked us in and is very friendly. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Lassen West Village in a Motorhome.

Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 5 years ago, and were disappointed to see how things have gone downhill here since then. The resort looks "tired".....things need repainting, and repair. We are pickleball players, and were sad to see that the courts here are in disrepair. Out of 8 courts, only 3 or 4 are usable. We were lucky to be able to snag a 50 amp site, and the utilities work well. The dump stations are a bit rough looking. Disappointing. We camped at Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Little Creek Casino and Resort, Shelton, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV Park by the casino. The sites are level and concrete.....we got one of the shorter pull thru at the end of a row, and our 40 footer and toad barely fit in. The sites are nicely spaced apart, but the turns are tight (but doable). The hookups worked well, and it is not far from shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend. We camped at Little Creek Casino and Resort in a Motorhome.

Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only), Chimacum, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at other SKP co-ops, but this was our first time at this one. The staff is very friendly, and the owned sites are very nicely landscaped, as is the entire park in general. We transients have a specific area in which to park.....the site was long, level and gravel, with no picnic table. Utilities worked as they should. It was a good base from which to visit many area attractions. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Rainier View RV Park - ( Adult ), Graham, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The is definitely not a destination park, but it served us well for the week we were here. The staff were very friendly. The sites are tight....our 40 footer took the entire length of the site. All utilities worked well, and satellite and Verizon signals were strong. Because of the smoke from the wildfires we hardly ever saw Mt Ranier, but we got a clear view one of the days we were bere. We camped at Rainier View RV Park - ( Adult ) in a Motorhome.

Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park. Our pull thru site was long and fairly level, and faced the water, which provided nice views. It was refreshingly cooler here than the inland area we had just come from. We had a clear shot of the sky for satellite, great Verizon service, good cable TV selection, and all utilities worked well. The casino, restaurants within the casino, and the gas station on the property were all very convenient. We would definitely return here. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.
