Northgate RV Travel Park, Athens, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here New Years Eve on our way back from Florida. Owners were very friendly. Easy access from I-65. Roads and lots were gravel but easy to navigate in our 40ft rv. The next exit south off 65 is about 3 miles and there are some good sit down restaurants there. (Applebees and Logans Steakhouse). Fast food is on the same road as the campground just about a mile south. We will stay here again when need a place to stop for the night. We camped at Northgate RV Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Williston Crossings RV Resort, Williston, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Just got back from a week here. Overall the place is really nice and the people are very friendly. We got in about 8pm the first night due to a mechanical issue. Jeannie stayed in touch with us during the day. She met us at the gate, escorted us to our site and made sure we got hooked up. Even checked on us the next day. They keep the place really clean. Pool area is very nice. Showers looked good but we didn't use. Same with the laundry. The only downside for us, was that there were very few if any good restaurants/bars in Williston. You either have to drive about 20 minutes to Gainesville or about 30 minutes to Ocala to find the nice eating places. So if that's important to you, it's something to consider. The park is very quiet and well kept. We camped at Williston Crossings RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Harry's in downtown/old Ocala (on the square) is awesome. Also The Top in Gainesville has really good food as well. A neat little bar/restaurant near Williston on Hwy 27 is The Beach. About a 15 minute drive towards Ocala. Cold beer, good food and the staff is very friendly.
