Country Lane Campground & RV Park, Wilbur, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Older RV park, one person runs front desk, store, and cooks in the in-park dining room. Semi-level gravel lanes and sites. Intermittent wifi. Bathroom, showers, laundry about 500 - 750 feet from most RV sites. $1 paid showers of unspecified time duration. One bathroom was out of soap for one afternoon and the next morning. We booked water and electric hookup only ($25 quote) but attendant put us in full hookup site and charged full hookup price ($35). Attendant said he could not reverse credit card charges. Extensive restaurant menu and reasonable prices with dine-in, take out, or delivery within the park but we did not eat there. We camped at Country Lane Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wagon Wheel Campground & Cabins, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

This older RV park had uneven, gravel lanes and sites. Sites were exceedingly close together. See sanitation hazard below. Manager regularly fed a wild fox in the RV park. Interesting but perhaps, a hazard. We camped at Wagon Wheel Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

All Seasons RV Park, Rozet, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

3.3 miles off highway. No highway noise. Low train noise. EPA-approved power, water, and sewer systems per park manager. Uneven, gravel lanes and sites. Friendly, talkative park manager gave us a tourist map of upcoming area we were going to. He also advised where to travel while Sturgis motorcycle event was in progress. Showers were exceptionally large, and clean. Manager didn't charge higher rates during Sturgis as many parks do. We camped at All Seasons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice and free shuttle service through town, and to two visitor centers. Car and RV parking lot at Estes Park Visitor Center where one can get detailed tourist and national park information. Some buses leave this visitor center and stop at several hiking stops within Rocky Mountain National Park. There are spectacular view drives on paved road through the national park (above 10,000 feet altitude).

Albany County Fairgrounds, Laramie, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Self-pay RV park behind stadium. Pay by check in drop box. Dirt lanes and semi-level, gravel sites. Low to moderate highway noise. No wi-fi. Used hotspot on mobile phone. Wind blew in the evening, which cooled the air. When making reservations, attendant said park was not busy that time of year, and would not make reservation. When arriving, there were several sites available. We camped at Albany County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Powder River Campground & Cabins, Kaycee, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Older RV park. Semi-level, gravel sites. Park has dirt lanes. We had a full hookup, back-in site. Clean, private showers and bathroom. Wi-fi worked for email and web browsing. At time of reservation, attendant refused to make a reservation saying it would not be needed. But there were few available sites when we arrived. We prefer reservations so we don't have to hunt for RV parks with available sites. We experienced a sudden, major wind and rain storm in late August. We were concerned that the storm would damage our RV. Close awnings and slide-out rooms if a storm comes. We camped at Powder River Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Friendly college-age attendants. Locked gate. Key card available to open gate after attendant hours. Paved lanes and RV sites. Site was level, spacious, and shaded. Moderate to high highway noise (along Hwy 87 / 2). Pay showers. About 500 foot walk to restrooms and showers. Weak wife for web browsing. Missoula KOA, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We had water and electric hookups in a pull through site. Our RV site was semi-level gravel and very narrow. Our slide out room was only 3 feet from our neighbor's RV. Our fire pit was right in front of our RV door, so we could not use it. There were several, domestic bunnies living in the park and leaving rabbit poop in the RV sites. Be careful where you step. The bunnies were stressed out from being chased by dogs and kids in the park. We camped at Missoula KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Garnet ghost town is well maintained but takes several miles of dirt roads to reach it after several miles of paved road ends. It was drivable in a 24 foot motorhome. But longer RVs may have difficulty navigating the roads.
