Yampa River State Park (Headquarters Campground), Hayden, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice state park. The sites are well laid out and spacious. They have electric only at the sites but there is a dump site and water hydrants all around the park. They have laundry facilities and showers. Each site has a covered picnic table. We would stay here again. We camped at Yampa River State Park (Headquarters Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. This was our second time here and we will be back. The staff is great and accommodating. It is easy access to Yellowstone national park and the town is very quaint and has everything you might need. Book far in advance as they are very busy during the peak season. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We booked our stay in December 2018. I had read reviews and thought it would work for our 40' toyhauler. About a month before we were to arrive I read more reviews that suggested that if we were overly long or high that we should call and confirm that we could get a spot that we could fit into. We called and were told to call back on May 9 when the staff would be there. We called back and told them that we had a pretty big rig and that were extra tall and were told that they could accommodate us and they would make a note on our reservation. Fast forward to arrival and we have our rig parked out front for everyone to see and again we ask if the site they were assigning us would work for us. They said yes no problem. We proceed to our assigned site and I find that I can pull in with little problem. But when I get out and start looking at how I'm going to get out I find that the tree limbs will probably take off my awning. Not a big deal as we see workers leveling other sites and see they have big saws and the equipment to cut the limbs down so we can get out. We approach them and ask if it would be possible and they said it shouldn't be a problem. Well in the three days we were there the limbs did not get cut so on the day we are suppose to leave I think well I got in here okay so I should be able to back out of here. Well it took me about an hour and I got it done but it took a lot of maneuvering. They have some really nice big pull thru sites that I would have had no problem getting out of and I probably should have gone back and asked for a different site to start with. But we had called and told them how big we were and it didn't seem to matter to them. So if I go back I'm going to tell them I'm bigger than I am and not settle for a site that I can't easily get out of. We were not the only ones there with this problem either. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here twice a year on our way to Arizona and back home. It is a very nice park with easy access on and off the interstate. Santa Fe has a lot of nice restaurants and other things to see and do. The train runs from just down the street to downtown Santa Fe so you don't have to unhook and drive there to take in the historic downtown. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the Pantry Restaurant for true southwestern food. They make the best breakfast burritos with great green chili. We eat there every time we are in town.

We love this park. This is our 5th time staying here. There is so much to do in the area that it can't all be done in one visit. The campground is very spacious and well taken care of.
