Lake George RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We attended an Airstream Club rally (our first) and thoroughly enjoyed the event. Due in great part to how excellent the RV Park is maintained and run. After experiencing several other campgrounds in our travels, my wife and I can say that Lake George RV Park is worthy of the term “resort”. That word is used very loosely by many other campgrounds which are nowhere near being one. I would highly recommend this place and would gladly return if we are in the Lake George region again. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Drummer Boy Camping Resort, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground to take our friends on their first ever RV trip because we had a wonderful time when we had been here in the past. Sadly things have changed. The staff is still helpful and friendly. The grounds are overgrown, muddy, and the gravel on the roads is overused on the actual campsite so one is camping on a gravel pit with very little grass area. The section we were in had some seasonal which have many additional buildings on site such as wood sheds, gazebos, and porches. We were unable to use the water for our entire stay as the bacteria count was too high. Most disappointing was the fact that we could see and HEAR the main highway (US 15 ) with all the cars and big rigs...we had to talk loudly in our sites just to hear one another. When setting up upon arrival, we experienced a defective 30 amp circuit which was replaced immediately and resolved the situation. Kudos to the staff. Our site (#7) was virtually level and very roomy, so OK site but not so OK location. If reserving this campground in the future I would ask to not be located next to the highway especially for the premium which is being paid. We camped at Drummer Boy Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Gettysburg is a great place to visit. Lots of walking and outdoor sites. Cyclorama and bus tours are awesome. Definitely a history buff’s vacation spot.
