Sounds of the Sea RV Park, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Older, bathroom very dated. Lighting on timers. Fluorescent bulbs that barely light the area and are very yellow. Shower stalls have nothing to hang or set your belongings on in your stall. Water drains slow in the shower. Making a puddle you need to straddle. Water temp was fine if you didn’t turn on the cold valve. Skylight in men’s shower is missing and waterlogged OSB is in its place. Laundry room has a pond in it when it rains. Front office opens at noon. Nowhere to get change to use the laundry machines. Maybe it was because it was offseason, but the place was rundown and dingy. Most places try to keep things working all year, except this place. Took a while to figure out how to get to our pull through. Had to drive through another pull through to get to ours. We camped at Sounds of the Sea RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Drive in from the North, not the South. The road is very bad on the South.

Marina Dunes RV Park, Marina, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

They were booked when we called. Had one spot available. No pull throughs. The second night we had to move our trailer to the “overflow” spot. It was loose gravel area that was unlevel and the wheel chocks did not work well in. And it cost the same as their premium spot. Showers didn’t drain well and took literally more than 2 minutes for the water to turn warm. We camped at Marina Dunes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Orangeland RV Park, Orange, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

Clean. Nice. Women’s bathroom was under renovation and the only alternative was a family restroom. Lots of space. Good shade. Good location. Easy to locate and navigate.

Cons:
Only Women’s restroom was down.
$3 per person to ride the Disneyland shuttle.($20 for parking at Disneyland)
The shuttle also starts its first trip a half hour after Disneyland opens and the last return is 45 minutes before Disneyland closes. And you have to reserve a spot. You can’t just walk on.
Since the website says shuttle available, and with the price you pay to stay, you’d think the shuttle would be free to guests.
No one under 14 allowed in the jacuzzi.
Showers in the men’s bathroom were interesting layout. You entered through a curtain to a space normal shower width, but extra long. There was a changing area with a seat attached to the wall, but no curtain between the changing area and the shower stall. Water splashes onto your belongings if you aren’t very careful.

All in all, very nice park, just a little overpriced. We camped at Orangeland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Twin Falls 93 RV Park, Filer, Idaho

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean. Easy to navigate and nice pull through space. Was windy so we rocked a bit, but that didn’t bother us much. The bathrooms and laundry room were very clean and tidy. Self check in was easy to do. We camped at Twin Falls 93 RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park), Alamo, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived at 8pm. Management was waiting and directed us you our pull through spot. Advised us that the 30A breaker was not working and offered the use of a 50A adapter for our trailer. We had one, so didn’t need theirs. Quiet location, easy to get to and find. Owners of park were very helpful and friendly. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Oceanside RV Park, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

Dirty. The bathrooms are dirty. As in, poop on the walls, lots of hair and crud in the showers. And walking into the bathroom on a Sunday morning and finding no TP in any stalls....need I say more?! No way to thread in the sewer hookup. Pipe coming out of ground had male threads. $83 for a back in spot with barely room for the trailer and tow vehicle. Restrooms closed at 10pm?! WHY!!! We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Duck Creek RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Great amenities. Heater pool that wasn’t heated (my kids didn’t care), jetted hot tub. The swim area was clean and nice. The office area was nice and clean. The bathrooms/showers at the office were clean and nice. The playground was a welcome sight for the kids. Thanks for having a play area! The main laundry room was being remodeled, can’t complain about that. Always good to see improvements being made. The bathroom in the center of the park look nice from the outside. The laundry room is nice and clean. Not sure about the women’s room, but the men’s bathroom had a sewer smell to it. The tile floors appear to have been cleaned a couple weeks ago. The showers were hot, which is nice. The ADA shower was down, which is probably where the sewer smell was coming from. There are no pull throughs. Make sure you know how to back up. There is a white line on the asphalt separating you from your neighbors. Very packed park. Lots of long term residents. One odd thing was they wanted a copy of the tow vehicles insurance, but not the trailer...maybe they have had problems in the past. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
