Twin Shores Camping Area, Kensington, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a special RV park. Beautifully maintained and full of activity. More of a Disney-esque resort than a campground. They are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2019 and there is a reason they have been around so long. You can plainly see that generations keep coming back. This is a very large park with a general store, movie theater, cafe, fitness center, meeting hall, and multiple beaches. Lots of kids around, riding bikes and being kids. If you prefer more quiet then stay on the newer Darnley Basin side where the sites are larger and less congested. My only criticisms are lack of any kind of cable/ TV hookup and the terrible WiFi. When you checkin you are given one Wifi password for your entire party that is locked to one device only. They do warn you the speed is suitable for email checking only. I’d argue barely suitable for anything useful. We camped at Twin Shores Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Atlantic Oaks Campground, Eastham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Extremely well maintained with friendly, helpful staff. Location can’t be beat. Right on the bike rail trail so perfect access for bike riders. We were here during record high temps in the mid-90s and did encounter low line voltage at the pedestal when we hooked up at a 30 amp pull-through campsite. I attribute this to unusually high loads on the infrastructure due to very high demand with ACs running etc. This created an issue with our surge protector unit shutting down power repeatedly when voltage dropped below 105 volts. Had to forego the power protection for our stay—how this affected the longevity of the AC unit in our Airstream is ? So, if you are concerned about power issues come prepared. The staff did try to help mitigate the problem as best they could but again we were camping in record high temps for the Cape. Overall high marks for this park. We will be back! We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.
