Valley Of The Sun RV Resort, Marana, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very hard to get into. Have to go around round-about that wasn't designed for big rigs. Then you have to make a right into a narrow driveway which is not well marked. I had to go past, make a bunch of turns on narrow streets and come in from the west. RV sites are at the back of a trailer park and are just a gravel field. No cable, WIFI is tangonet, It rained all day and large puddles. TMobile was 2 bars and was good enough to stream thru. only a couple of local channels. OK port in a storm but next time I will try somewhere else. We camped at Valley Of The Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Tamarisk Desert Resort (55+ Park), Desert Center, California

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight, but they only have one site big rig (>40') can fit into. They were without a manager so nobody to check in. Just filled out the form and a resident led me to the site which is right next to the office. You have to go around a block to get into it. They have a couple of pull into/backout of sites but small. I was not able to get them on the phone before coming to find out if they had a place for me. I was lucky that they did. Pool and Hottub we OK. You could play golf for a fee. Closest store is an hour away. There is a restaurant at the exit and some truckers were parked at it but we didn't try it. I will stay there again IF I can get them on the phone to verify that site 100 is available. Also, it is a pull thru but not long enough to leave towed on. WIFI was good once it started to work. When I got there I could not get to the internet through it. Then magically I could. Then a big dust storm came through and it went away. An hour later it came back and stayed. It was fast when it was working. TMobil was 2-3 bars. No local stations and no cable. Dish didn't work because of the storms. I was able to stream thru WIFI. We camped at Lake Tamarisk Desert Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park, Gilroy, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

good place for a few days. They allow pets and gave my puppies a treat. However the dog park is very small / gravel and all the way at one end. Big signs to keep pets off grass (what there is of it). Convenient, easy off/on 101. You better like the smell of garlic. I used to live up the road and we craved pizza all the time. We camped at Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Skyline Wilderness Park, Napa, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

they will take a reservation but will not guarantee full hook up. If you're longer than 35' there are only 2 sites with sewer you can fit in. It is just a dusty gravel parking lot. It is, after all, a county park. Lots of hiking, mountain biking. TMobile barely worked. no wifi. Power and water good. We will NOT go here again. Lucky this time as we got one of the 2 sites we could fit in on the second day. We camped at Skyline Wilderness Park in a Motorhome.

JGW RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Good WIFI, good Tmobile, good DISH. A beautiful park with lots of trees, shrubs and grass. River front sites and access for all. Nice large dog park with pea gravel, water bowl and poop bags. We come to Redding often and this is the best place we have stayed. Pull throughs are as a combination - you can pull through if no one has the site behind you but you have to unhitch and put the car in front if they use the site behind you. If the site behind is in use your site becomes a back-in. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Motorhome.

Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA, Visalia, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of semi-permanent trailers. Ww were reluctant to leave bikes outside while away. The site was clean and neat with some trees. The tree at the entrance needs trimming as it hangs down too low. DISH good, WIFI good, TMobile good. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Staff was pleasant. Just a large gravel lot but OK for a night or two. Easy access to Painted Desert. Over priced for what it is. TMobile was good, DISH was good (no trees). WIFI OK to check email but kept dropping/resetting. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Supposedly Big Rig friendly. I camped with a 42' with a tow. There may be 2 spaces by the office that you can actually pull thru. Rest of the park is TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT. Had a "pull thru", HAH. Only way you can get out is to unhook, and do a lot of jockeying trying to make hairpin turns with trees on both sides and cars and trucks sticking out into 8' wide roads because the sites are so small. WIFI works in the office, but not 50' away. There may be a few sites where you can see a satellite but most can't. A very few basic channels on their cable. TMobile non existent (not the camp grounds fault, but you might want to know). My advise, if you have anything longer than 30', go somewhere else. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.

Lovely, clean and attractive place with nice level sites. The only thing that could make it better would be a cable hookup. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Camping Alouette, St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, Quebec

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Large park. Sites side by side. Bigger than most. Every rig had to block wheels and jacks. Walking around is fun to see who used the most blocks. Sites are "almost" level, but not close enough to just level with the jacks. It looks like some are flatter to the NE corner of the area. The SE corner is a small hill. We camped at Camping Alouette in a Motorhome.

Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best overnight parks in the country. I would give it a 10 if they had a hot tub for my back. Staff is very friendly. They had a treat for my dog and my cat. Good clean fenced grass dog play area. Petie got some good exercise. The whole park is spotless. The sites are very large with level gravel to park on and large grass areas outside your door. The "patio" sites have concrete patios with kiva fire places. They have good power, water, cable TV and free WIFI. We would stay here again. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Motorhome.

The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are large enough with a small concrete patio. Water pressure good at 55PSI. Power good at 124V. Cable TV is included. WIFI available for a fee. Restrooms and showers are fairly new and clean. Very good park off the interstate so it is quiet. Great overnight or for a few days. We would stay here again. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Motorhome.
