Richmond KOA, Richmond, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Ok park, it's clean. It's trying to be a resort with lots for the kids to do, but could not get leveled. We ended up using boards on the front as the whole campground slants towards the lake (pond). The store and laundry are set up funny: as to use the laundry, the store must be open as the machines are in side. There is a fairly good stocked store, just nothing to brag about. No cable TV (which was showing on this site), and no TV without a portable dish as there's too many trees. We camped at Richmond KOA in a Motorhome.

Gulf Shores / Pensacola West KOA, Lillian, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a park with an owner attitude. If she likes you, you can do anything. If not, better obey the rules. Especially parking on the grass. Problem, there is no clear sites except for a few. Friends are allowed to party after quiet time. Wi-Fi worked briefly and then went down, not to return for over a month. Their excuse was that the provider would not fix it. Don't expect too much in the way of Wi-Fi except in their office. No speed limit posted and so people could just race through the park, although on some of the roads they could beat your cars to pieces. Cable TV has lots of channels but they have a tendency to break up like a satellite in heavy rain. We will not be staying here again. We camped at Gulf Shores / Pensacola West KOA in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

My big problem is calling it a resort, there are no resort type activities here. The walking is around the small park. The park is trying to sell all the sites to turn it into time shares. The cable system has only 10 channels. Good Wi-Fi and you can use your satellite dish if you are in the right spot. We were given a spot with a huge billboard behind us which blocked the satellite. There is no store, and no reading library. There is a small game room and a nice pool. Given the price I will find some where else next time and drive into the quarter if I have to go there. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Paragon Casino Resort RV Park, Marksville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

While I agree with most peoples prior comments I will probably not be coming back the front desk person was the rudest I have ever encountered, She never once looked up just kept here head down sounded like she used to work for a DMV some where. Never looking at me just ask for my drivers license, credit card handed me the directions to the site told me to come back the next day to get my receipts and went back to what she was doing before, no goodbye, no have a good time, nothing, with that attitude won't be back We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Miss Ellie's RV Park, Waskom, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The pluses: easy access, friendly staff, good water pressure, and good electric. The minus: the biggest one is traffic noise right on the interstate never gets quiet. Site was not level, roads could use some work. Probably will not stay here again because of the noise. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lazy L RV Park, Sherman, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Good park for an overnight. Friendly staff, good Wi-Fi, and lots of cable channels. Was originally put in 30 amp site when I had reservation for 50 amp, had no problem getting changed. Some of the sites had a long way to hook up sewer hose and electricity. Over 1/2 the sites are taken up by month to month workers. But overall not bad of a overnight stay. Would camp here again. We camped at Lazy L RV Park in a Motorhome.

River Ranch RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park right on the river and directly under I-35 the site are level, the staffs friendly, can't get any closer to the freeway to get back on. The directions to get there are a bit convoluted regardless of what books i used to get there but we finely found it, grounds are immaculate . The only reason I gave this park a 5 is because of the noise both cars and trains. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

San Antonio / Alamo KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Staff very professional not rude not friendly just professional. Sites are gravel with bumpy roads that are being patched over and over, lots of ground cover but no grass. Laundry and game room are nice and a new bathhouse is being built. The old bath houses are very dated. There appears to be 2 sections of the park one for the perms and one for the travelers. Good electricity and water and cable. The main problem I have with the park and the reason for the 5 is that for the price it should be a lot better We camped at San Antonio / Alamo KOA in a Motorhome.

Austin Lone Star RV Resort, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Over all a very friendly staff. The roads in the park are a little narrow but the sites are large and shaded as well as large shrubs on both sides, so it give you a feeling of being alone. Trash is picked up from in front of sites daily. The only draw back is some of the sites have old utility connections requiring you to get on your knees to hook up and the boxes are sharp enough to cut you ( personal experience). Over all though, this was a pleasant stay and we would stay again. We camped at Austin Lone Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Sites on creek are not 50 amp not all sites are satellite friendly only those at back of park awkward to get into and out of but staff is very friendly given the other parks in the area this is by far the best there is small store but very little in it you are at the edge of the downtown area so all the tourist traps are within walking distance. is an easy drive to all the nature sights and they can make the stay worthwhile. We would stay here again. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lavaland RV Park, Grants, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

It is an old park and not well maintained. The roads are horrible sites just barely big enough for a 37 ft with small toad. The tree limbs need to be trimmed up higher as I hit the limbs going in and coming out. The staff is friendly. It is a good place for just a overnight stay. They say they have cable but couldn't find it and wifi is only at the office and laundry. We camped at Lavaland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Morro Dunes RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

An ok campground with a very different space arrangement. We would go back. It has friendly staff and is close to ocean: when the fog is not in, you can see Morro Rock. All sand sites: the one we had was not level so we had to use leveling blocks (site 120). It did have good electricity and water pressure. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is nothing bigger then a large asphalt parking lot with utilities placed so all spots are side-by-side and so close together that you literally have to watch your neighbor getting out of their coach. We had a family affair in Pacifica and would not have stayed here but for this. There are some coaches that have been here so long, they are starting to rust and probably could not be moved if they had to. I would hate to see a fire start as it would spread quickly to all the park. In over 30 years of camping, we have never stayed in a place this bad and will not stay here again. Will stay out of the area and drive in. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given them a higher rating but the electricity went out 3 times in the afternoon. Good level sites long although you toad will be slanting down on a hill if you are in the pull through sites. Friendly and fairly quiet even though you are just above a truck stop. Even though it says you are in Kingman, it is about 20 miles east of town. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.
