The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This park is one of the nicest in the state. It is run by the City of Grapevine and they do an excellent job running it. It is immaculate and has a beautiful setting as it is positioned on the shores of Lake Grapevine. Because of the proximity to Lake Grapevine it offers many water sports activities. It has an area called Puppy Point that has great grass for dogs to run. Only problem it is not fenced so they can go off leash. And for that reason I cannot rate this park a 10. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Site 207/208; that means you can go in either direction with hook ups, patios, grills and trash containers on both sides. This park has every thing except a fenced in dog park. If it had the fenced in dog park, I believe it would be the number 1 casino RV Park in the nation. And I can speak from experience. It certainly should be rated the best RV park in Oklahoma. Pads are concrete and level. There is open sky's but the trees are starting to mature. For your furry friends the Bermuda grass is plentiful and thick. In short the landscape is superb. Washers and drivers are only a $1 each. That in itself is a bargain. The laundry room is extremely clean. We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the short walk or let the Shuttle take you to Winstar Casino, (it is the largest in the world). Many great restaurants in the Casino like Toby Keith's, Kurby's And El Felix, to name a few.

OU Village, Norman, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If you are doing something around the University of Oklahoma or downtown Norman, this is the best place to stay because of it location on the O.U. campus. I have stayed here numerous times during football season, but this is the first time out of season. At present you cannot make reservations on line. You must go into the office at Lloyd Noble Arena on the East side. They only take cash or check. The lady that takes your money is extremely friendly and very helpful. I have noticed in a previous review that it stated that there was no dump station or potable water. That is not correct. The dump and water stations are on the south side of Lloyd Noble. So do yourself a favor, if your business is in Norman; stay in Norman at Sooner Village, not in OKC or Newcastle. We camped at OU Village in a Travel Trailer.

Trinity RV Park & Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very basic. Besides full hook up, the only amenity I saw was a single clothes line behind space 24. The good: close to downtown Nashville and attractions, spacing and cleanliness; The Bad: the park is in the middle of the hood. Across the street there is an abandoned car wash occupied by a homeless person living on a mattress. Sites 22 thru 26 are directly accessed via a four lane very busy street. Needless to say it is dangerous to back-in without someone blocking traffic. Price is high for what you get. Once the challenge of getting into the site, it was good from there, (level good location on hook ups). Trash cans are conveniently located behind the site. You do not want sites 22 thru 26; unless you like backing up into busy traffic. We camped at Trinity RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
