Arrowhead Lake Campground (formerly Sulphur Lake Campground), Arlington, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Just north of US-30 on US-68. Easy to get in to, and quiet. Park is showing its age, but is well laid out. The quietest night we have enjoyed for weeks. only "noise" was from the occasional Train going by about a 1/4 mile away. New owner is working to upgrade. pads are all gravel, roomy, and quite level. Power is consistent and water fresh and clear. There is a nice swimming pond and fishing pond on site. We camped at Arrowhead Lake Campground (formerly Sulphur Lake Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The entry might seem a bit disconcerting. It's in an old neighborhood, to whom the recent economy has not been particularly kind, but it really is quite pleasant and a unique find. The park is clean and comfortable

Twin Lakes RV Park, Cumming, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A nice, quiet, small park near shopping and services. A good mix of sites available. Premium lots are large and shady, and worth the extra costs, when available. They take no cards, checks and cash only. Kind a tight fit getting down the paved access road. water sewer and electric available most sites, though some near the lake have no sewer. Wifi was good and steady. space is tight, and they require that you disconnect your Toad before going to site. We stayed here while visiting family and will be back. We camped at Twin Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Zooland Family Campground, Asheboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, large park with lots of activities available for families. Well laid out. Everything is as advertised. Definitely on our list for next time in the area. Near the zoo and there are lots of activities available. If you don't like being around people, this park is probably not for you. We enjoyed it. Lot's of activity, but quiet time was observed. We camped at Zooland Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Kelly's Countryside RV Park, Callahan, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice little campground. The folks are very personable and helpful. Seems well run. Lot's of shady site, no traffic noise. There is a railroad somewhere near by, but not loud enough to be bothersome. The sites are grassy/well-packed sand. Clean showers and baths, and small laundry room available. We camped at Kelly's Countryside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A Winn Dixie is a couple of miles away, as is an ACE hardware. WalMart is about an hour drive, round trip. And just north, in Hilliard, there are two fuel stops that are easy in and out and reasonably priced. A small restaurant called Steamboat Lilly's is nearest. It has seen better days, the food is pretty basic, but if you like Fried Chicken, they have some of the best I've had in years.

West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA, Loxahatchee, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older park. It does show its age a bit, but is VERY well maintained. Clean showers and restrooms. Pads are grass and sand. Very firm and level. Staff is wonderful. WiFi is pretty dependable. I was working, and using company VPN much of the time, with very few connection problems. Very "out of the way" and little traffic noise. Some of the park's neighbors wake up very early, and can make a bit of noise. Nobody really seems to mind, though. But how often do you wake up to Lions, Gibbons, Chimpanzees, and such. You need to get in before 10 PM the first day, or you will get locked out by automatic gate. Once you're in, they give you a key card to get in the gate. Yes, we will be staying here again. We camped at West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA in a Motorhome.

Planning for dining and groceries required as the nearest grocer is a 5 mile drive, same with restaurants and shopping.
